That's not really true. There are lots of examples where we've made important changes without violence, just as we have lots of examples where violence completely failed to accomplish a stated goal.

The only reason we're not seeing straight off revolts is because climate change happens gradually. By the time people will feel compelled to revolt, the ones having caused the damage will be long gone.

I think it makes the most sense that those of fear would seek protection from said fear, I mean that's like half of gun sales already, but at least like this said politicians aren't wielding the gun themselves, getting experiences with it themselves.
