Something that will shut up climate change alarmists?

Worlds First Fully Electric Commercial Aircraft Takes Flight

I've been waiting to hear about electric commercial aircrafts ever since I watched a presentation by Hans Rosling where he mentions that 50% of CO2 emissions come from planes.  (and 50% of that is from private jet travel by the top 10%)

Idk about you, but im tired of listening to people whine about how the world is gonna end unless we do something now.  Nobody is stealing your dreams or your childhood with their supposed "inaction"...people continually adapt and react in the face of adversity, and with better technology our adaptive skills will only improve exponentially. So, maybe if we can cut CO2 emissions in half with electric aircraft, then I won't have to listen to people whine about the incoming mass exodus.

I don't know how much CO2 airplanes put out.

But I do know that motor gasoline and diesel transportation make up 30% and electrical power generation makes up 33% for a total of 63%. So I think Hans Rosling's airplane numbers are incorrect.

But I do agree with this "people continually adapt and react in the face of adversity, and with better technology our adaptive skills will only improve exponentially."

I think climate change will make some places greener and warmer. NASA has predicted longer growing seasons in the northern US and Canada. Plants like CO2.

Something that will shut up climate change alarmists?

1) Tell them about how Global Warming existed before humans.

2) Tell them about how Cows fuck with it.

Just rewatched the portion of the interview, to correct myself since i watched it last year:

50% of fossil fuel CO2 emissions are from the top 10% and its that high because of their heavy use of jets

im linking the video but time stamps dont work, its at 52:34

There is no doubt that Global Warming existed before humans, its the rate of change of the climate that is the difference. CO2 has never been seen to rise this fast, ever! Plants and animals will not have time to adapt.

We do react before adversity, but we need those with money who are willing to suppress progress to lay off a bit.

Might I remind you of the electric car in the early 2000s?

What do you mean lay off a bit? and yes, of course, some have reacted in the past

I think she means that the wealthy tend the publicly promote progress but refuse to make any changes in their own lifestyles

Kinda like gun abolitionist politicians who rely on armed security guards

it's not about how much we're using

it's about how much is left.

and there is a threshold we can pass, that, once we do we reach essentially, a point of no return. from the amount of environmental damage we do.

I would be less concerned about the climate, as the current rate of that- it's actually the least alarming problem we have on our hands.

just research the decrease of tillable soil, and the shifting of the oceans tidal patterns.

also if you do your research the largest problematic cause of emissions is mass transit and the daily automobile not airplanes
