An anti-psychotic drug inhibits your dopamine. Mood is related to serotonin. So if they are inhibiting your dopamine to affect your mood, they are basically trying to curtail psychotic thinking, right?

mood can mean anything, not just psychosis......omg.........are you even human.....there is no way you are this retarded

Yeah well you don't even have to look up what I'm saying because I provided links backing up that the 2 different anti-psychotics I've been on have been used off label to treat depression and anxiety

Mood is very specifically related to serotonin when it comes to medications. You don't go to a doctor and get PEA if you feel you can't love. Although it is in trial for people with autism to help with their empathy.

The reason people see psychiatrists about mood is either they are too high up, too far down, or a mix of both. So in the case of low mood, the model is serotenergic. In the case of the other moods, they would be giving you lithium for example, which affects glutamate and NMDA. Which are not receptors of concern in people that have depression.

Have you ever seen someone on an like a high dose of Respiridone or Thorazine? Of course they are less anxious, these drugs zombify you. They were meant to make voices in the head stop.

I'm not sure why I should bother to have this conversation any further. I've shown you numerous articles that spell out plainly that anti-psychotics are a last resort in depression treatment. I've explained that they are used to control the same type of thinking that they control in schizophrenics by pointing out that they work by dampening the activity of dopamine.

At this point, it just seems you will not confront that your thinking may be a bit exotic. You like to compartmentalize your stints of madness over people like Pseudo or Sam Hyde too, so I doubt I can reach you on this. Have a good night.
