Maybe my example would have been better with acorns instead of apples. Anyway, the point is, as long as it has POTENTIAL for becoming something, it is NOT that something. A fertilized egg is not a chicken. Breaking an egg is not killing a chicken. Abortion is not killing a human being.

Agree with all this. Also, I'm sure abortion does not cause pain, since the nerves and brain and stuff are not even formed yet. Not to mention there's no awareness of anything in the first place.
The pain and sufferings of a mother to carry and take care of an unwanted child are much more real. Whoever cares about an embryo but not about the mother, who is never happy to have this procedure done on her anyway, is completely lacking empathy imo.
