Fantastic interview.
I will say Yang is growing on me politically.
He really puts himself out there, which I think is greatly attributing to his popularity, and looking beyond his UBI policy he has a lot of reasonable ideas that could be supported across the aisle.
He's an interesting meld of democrat, libertarian, and populist.
The Bernie fans should jump ship.
Money talks.
You're looking at something like $200,000,000,000+ a month. It is no doubt more or less cause I don't know how many US citizens are within the age bracket to be eligible for the 12k a year.
What I think will happen is the USD will become less rare and it's value will take a nosedive then citizens will end up having to pay more taxes.
If Yang beats Trump in the next election, his own party probably won't allow that policy to pass, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was the scheme to get back into power. Hollywood and the mainstream media will love Yang.
Like damn. Democrats won't fund a wall, though they will endure government shutdowns that cost more than the wall. Now people expect the Democrats to pay out $1,000 a month meanwhile they always raised taxes and last time their two front runners both had policies that included tax hikes.
A dollar was worth much more in the distant past. Everything was cheaper. This had to do with less money in the economy.
I honestly think it's going to be a while until we see politics devoid of the increasingly blatant fascist themes from all sides.
Politics needs some serious hard dose pill swallowing, the zeal and how easily it can be steered is a major part of the problem.
Both sides sure.
I think the only ones calling out fascism in politics are the ones who are hurt over other things.
They call it about the other. I've had a lot of debates with The Left over Facebook lately and... they're... going in a bad direction.
As a moderate I find myself constantly debating with both sides... but I'm seeing that they literally say the same shit about the other in different phrases (my favorite was "The Right does not deserve to be defended, not even by the Devil's Advocate", a response spurred from me questioning the bullshit of mandatory acceptance of your fellow man with literal "Or Else" phrasings).
Trump will win a 2nd term, and this time, it's going to be worse cause people will carry on about how Trump's 2nd term costed them about 48k
I can't even predict how this will go until we get near the Super PACs, as that time period tends to be when people get hyped into literally retarded mob behaviors.
Trump no longer has Roger Stone at his side, and that's going to have a large impact on his chances of winning. Roger Stone sees where the political climate is going, and as one who is used to manipulating the low hanging fruit... he's turned Libertarian as part of a slow and believeable switching of parties, and with how much he's pushing that he's Pro-LGBTQ... he will turn Liberal and he will do the same damn thing to The Left that he's been doing to The Right.
Roger Stone has made us all fools, he is behind way, way too many things over the past few decades. He invented Super PACs in the first place, he wrote many slogans that he's recycled for Trump with no one noticing somehow (like "The Silent Majority"), and he has his hands in way too many pockets. The only weakness is his ego, and he's still doing quite well in spite of it.
Stones Rules #69: Everything is recycled.
Stones Rules #93: Reinvent Yourself.
It's all a big joke to him, and he's a jester in a position of power. At least Pence isn't as likely to be a "Ten Year President" from taking over Trump's position past the half-way point like I was starting to worry about, as for being so charismatic as a radio DJ he's been almost entirely silent during Trump's reign... until recently.
Politics are fucking toxic, and I see no end in sight for it.

Like seriously, what's the point if it's mandatory?
They call it about the other. I've had a lot of debates with The Left over Facebook lately and... they're... going in a bad direction.
While the hard left aren't gun-toting racists, I find them more terrifying. Alt-Right cannot hide and if it does, it's through so much omission of their own values, easily identified.
Radical leftist are like sleeper cells that blend in with regular dems because on a surface level they hold the core beliefs. Nothing wrong with gender equality and addressing current race issues right? Eventually there becomes so much subversion that by the time they reveal the extent of their beliefs, the influence they have garners them immunity. It's not checked as it should imo. The press coverage for an Alt-Right march is a whole lot worse than say a march from hardcore left extremists.
It leaves a lot of moderate dems categorized in the same bracket as people that are okay with children having sex changes in single digit years, want to throw people in jail for mistaking their sex and believe in 10+ genders. It's a terrifying social undertow that pipelines people into the common body of democrats allowing the cycle to continue subtle with incrementally more influence.
Also, how did that go and what was the topic?
