This forum used to be on par with Stephen Colbert, only a nasty Bizzarro World version of his stuff.

I don't think it's an age thing beyond the style and some themes. If anything the younger crowd here nowadays are the ones with less "ASPD Cred" to try to prove.

At this point it's closer to referential homage. It was first "serious", then "srs", then "meme-y", now "post-historical". 

A lot of what made people leave wasn't the "toxicity" of the place (although it definitely contributed to a few going or otherwise taking breaks), but rather the threat of sterilization of said toxicity through the inclusion of more and more rules.

What stuff did you like more from people here back in the day? 

I mostly see a lot of nostalgizing, of people claiming their original time here was "the best time" like how BR treated SC4, and how many of the Old Guard treat the historical cringe that is Nabble. 

I don't think we had a "best time" beyond personal opinion.

I suspect that had smthg to do with the cp, as well. And not wanting to get called out for flirting with a creep like Jim. But who knows? W/e their reasons, they're not likely to come back to this shithole while it's in this state.

The only people left who post regularly are so boundary impaired that they have trouble sticking to a coherent theme long enough to author a decent thread.

Obsidian was never a real SC person. He was quoted more often than he actually posted on the site. People keep alluding to Trouble being Missy, but who knows.
