The website being shut down, whether voluntarily or because of the host provider, tends to get some others less in the habit of checking the place, but it snowballs back with time. 

Your post criticizes ego driven persons, yet you are very ego driven yourself. You're fully aware you're killing SC with your actions, so you can later say you gave the community a platform, but they left you on their own as opposed to you taking it down because you couldn't handle the heat. 

People forget about the drier portions of the year... every year.

You should read the thread a little closer and not make up your mind so fast. If you look a little closer you might see the real truth.
