Okay so I read this over, and I notice you go into a lot of the politics of it but none of the actual survival aspects.

What are we doing for food and shelter, for instance? Before we can even devolve into politics we'd have to see what people bring what physical, practical worth to the table.

People who are essential to the group's survival would have a knack in a Micronation that is not expressed as strongly here on the forum, and that would heavily impact the politics that would follow.

Well, obviously high IQ would be important, and things such as technical skills. Survivalist skills as well. Not to toot my wife's horn, but delora would be a great person to look for in terms of finding food in the wilderness, she specializes in it.

Our uses to the group is what we'd need to sort out first if we were to figure what we contribute to the whole, as those with more to offer will be able to coast much further than people who can't provide anything.

It might even be a part of what splits us into a caste system for instance, and could heavily impact our ingroup/outgroup politics. If we have an abundance of one talent (like foraging) versus having only one person who can achieve an essential need (a doctor), that's going to affect the weight of their worth.

By the end of this, contribution would be a larger factor than one's social ties, and new bonds would form from where everything settles.

We'd need enough wealth and materials to get to the point of building things. In the short term though it can help with efficient designs for things like tools.

Trading with surrounding areas and cultivation of our own resources would need to come first, so they'd likely be helping out with the grunt work or other less trained areas until opportunities for development arise.

Being multi-talented is helpful in the earlier stages, while having a specific niche talent is helpful in the long run. Without materials and supplies it's just knowledge for a better day, even for a doctor for most of it. Having the doctor have a rough understanding of herbalism and foraging for instance can make him even more useful than just the guy with a focused degree on one area (like a dentist).

Are we starting from scratch on some remote, uninhabited island? If we are then Billy's monkey tribe analogy probably isn't that far off, with physical strength and force of personality being decisive traits.

Everybody starts with what they have right now- items, possessions, worth, physical attributes, abilities, ect. All of SC gets together to form a micronation using the resources they currently have on some theoretical unused pocket of land (that is relatively fertile)
