So this thought just occured to me. I have been toying with the idea of what would happen if all members of SC formed a micronation. Questions arose; I have compiled some and will give my hot take.
Would anyone murder anyone? Who would kill who?
I think that under the climate of an SC micronation, there would probably be a fair amount of screwing over. More troublesome users like Jim would try to scam people for their money and may even rise to wealth with this alone. Some normal users with aggressive streaks or with children may grow increasingly tired of the pedophilia in society and may be driven to kill the more pedophilic users. Depending on how insane they are, some (such as Turq or blanc) may kill somebody like Trypt over not wanting to be with them romantically anymore.
Who would take charge, and who would challenge that? Who would realistically end up being the ultimate leader? By force or by choice?
The political situation would without a doubt be tumultous, and this may ultimately come down to who is the strongest, richest, with a weapon, most charasmatic, ect. There are some extreme opinions on SC scattered in practically all directions amd this is what makes it so tricky; everyone would want it there way. Some people like Jim are crazy enough to possibly kill. I do not think a senate would succeed in this real society, and it could easily become a dictatorship, and I do not think Luna would be in charge due to her lack of charisma and weakness.
What social issues would plague it?
Without a doubt, acceptance/intolerance of pedophiles and pedophilia would be the biggest social issue in this society, and would likely end up bloodshed, given that some SC people have children they will be motivated to protect. Deceit would run rampant on all levels of society which may cultivate a level of hypervigilance in all activities that require cooperation with others. Factions and cliques would without a doubt form, and some would be ostracized. However, much like SC is, this could come to resemble a big dysfunctional family where everybody is cool at the end of the day.
How would money work, what would the economy be composed of?
I think the economy would end up very laissez faire, and cash, barter (for favors AND goods), bitcoins, international currency, ect. would all be in play. It would not be communist by any stretch but there may be some scenarios where people share among some crowds. Others will ruthlessly take advantage of economic freedom for their own gain. It would be a very versatile economy.
What would the laws be like?
Due to the diversity of worldviews, society would be checks and balances on itself. It is possible pedophiles could get purged by vigilantes and that may be outlawed persay. The leadership would have a difficult time uniting everyone on one thing and the end result of clashing views could be a functional anarchy where some may go out of their way to prevent certain "bad" practices and may or may npt stop them.
These are my ideas so far. This thread is meant to be a thought experiment, so everyone can add as many thoughts to it as they want.
