Then I guess accept that you're colloquial rather than an intellectual, over something as simple as refusing to see where words come from. 🤷

-phobia is a technical term, and generally it is used to refer to fears. Other dictionary sources still lean on it's technical meaning while this one instead colloquially refers to the symptoms. 

If it makes you feel better that fear is an actual factor, then dream away.
