 Transgenderism is a mental illness. Some think they need to be affirmed so they do what they can to be seen as the opposite gender. Some will mutilate themselves then regret it. Others will go far into messing with their hormones, then detransition. 

I think if someone detransitions, that's more functional. They won't have to pretend anymore, while the transexual remains frustrated with the fact they can only date homosexuals, and why ? Because transgenderism in most cases is really homosexuality to its core. Is that not dysfunctional ? Of course it is.

As far as military goes, critical thinking skills matter so I understand why they don't want transgenders.

Transgenderism is a mental illness.

Being diagnosed with a mental illness does not bar people from getting a firearm, it's purely over their history. 

Essentially, if they: 

o Are a danger to themselves or others.

o Lack the mental capacity to manage their own affairs.

o Were found to be "not guilty by reason of insanity" in a criminal case.

o Were found "incompetent to stand trial" in a criminal case.

If any of the above applies in a way that's filed into the system, like if they were committed to asylum after trying to commit suicide, then they cannot legally own a firearm.

Similarly to having people in the military that are on medication in general, it's more about how hormone injections can get in the way of efficiency.

There's also a lot of jobs in the military, it's not all grunt work on the battlefield. As long as they're capable of following orders I don't really see the problem with recruiting them.

look at item f on this ATF form for purchasing a gun.. "adjudicated mentally defective" Don't know what the legal terms are for "adjudicated mentally defective", what does this mean? A judge might interpret this a number of ways.

Being trans is not mental illness. If anything most of the western world is mentally ill including its assault on socialism. The Chinese are living in homes they actually own while Westerners treat each other like slaves and shit.
