And yet the DOJ and NRA are arguing over if trans people should be allowed to have guns.
There are already laws for mentally ill people. We don't need any more laws.
Transgenderism is a mental illness.
Being diagnosed with a mental illness does not bar people from getting a firearm, it's purely over their history.
Essentially, if they:
o Are a danger to themselves or others.
o Lack the mental capacity to manage their own affairs.
o Were found to be "not guilty by reason of insanity" in a criminal case.
o Were found "incompetent to stand trial" in a criminal case.
If any of the above applies in a way that's filed into the system, like if they were committed to asylum after trying to commit suicide, then they cannot legally own a firearm.
As an example, I can get one without any problems.
while the transexual remains frustrated with the fact they can only date homosexuals
Wait what?
As far as military goes, critical thinking skills matter so I understand why they don't want transgenders.
Similarly to having people in the military that are on medication in general, it's more about how hormone injections can get in the way of efficiency.
There's also a lot of jobs in the military, it's not all grunt work on the battlefield. As long as they're capable of following orders I don't really see the problem with recruiting them.
