That’s why both are completely useless in Pokémon go.

Well yeah, Pokemon Go has no nuance.

In the real game, Slowbro can be powerful.

It makes no sense that something with garbage stats should have any viability in a game like Pokémon.

Yet they do in the real games, rather than the imitation Niantic made. If the game were not so oversimplified they'd have the ability to be good in the hands of someone clever, but in Pokemon Go it's just a bunch of beatsticks.

The real game is about being smart, Pokemon Go is about collecting.

Pokémon Go requires a very high level of intelligence to be any good at. The battling system is more based on the Pokémon you choose and less on the moves you choose for them sure, but correct shielding and much less chance outside of the shield mechanic as every move has 100% hit rate. At the highest level everyone has everything they want, it’s not about collecting at all, it’s about switching at the right time, catching moves on the right Pokémon, baiting, shielding correctly, timing and every once in a while a surprise attack can definitely win you some games. I find it to be more a realistic battle than the turn based system regardless.

Baiting ….Seems like an interesting gambit. I take that to mean you present one Pokémon and quickly switch out to catch the move on a second.

Is there a rhyme or reason to the timing of when Go lets you switch out? If there is it’s evaded me all along

07:45 Buttered Toast: I'm watching the Pokemon debate avidly.
07:46 Buttered Toast: Pokemon Go is trash, fast food consumerism, versus the other games nuance and flavor with full mechanics.
07:47 Buttered Toast: I collect in go during events. but find no stimulation in its combat.

You have to learn to count and know when certain moves are possible to use or when your opponent would use them. Baiting is using a cheaper less strong move to bait a shield use for advantage later in the game.

Omg this really opened my eyes. It’s as if I have been playing in defense all along without regard to offensive play. I can trigger you to shield! (if I could figure this out say take Lucario with his two moves I would need to know how long it would take me to “charge up” a move. This must be what you mean by “count”)

I haven’t played chess in years but this was like being a strictly defensive chess player all this time and could be the difference between being a good player and just an okay player.

You're so hilariously transparent, this is like when you compliment his word choices.

You would be right. This opened my eyes to offensive versus defensive play. No I don’t beat around the bush and obfuscate with long winded diatribes that go nowhere like you.

By the way I thought you were kinda extending an olive branch yesterday when you were in a good spot with Chapo why do you have to be so brusque?  So I’m transparent what of it? These are my true feelings I’m not making anything up.

As for complimenting Chapo’s word choices if I do it it is sincere; I like the way Chapo thinks.

You like everything he does, because you are beyond biased.

You clearly don't understand what I meant.

You just want sex, and will compliment everything he does on your way to his dingus.

Not at all you are very shallow and have no grasp of human behavior.  I enjoy playing Pokémon go and learning the ropes because it is something I can share with Chapo. You would think you were jealous of the attention Chapo bestows on me or something  Would you be so brave to say this stuff to me if it weren’t online?

Chapo am I believable that I enjoy Pokémon go strategy or is it as turncoat says that I just want the “D”
