That’s why both are completely useless in Pokémon go.
Well yeah, Pokemon Go has no nuance.
In the real game, Slowbro can be powerful. It makes no sense that something with garbage stats should have any viability in a game like Pokémon.
Yet they do in the real games, rather than the imitation Niantic made. If the game were not so oversimplified they'd have the ability to be good in the hands of someone clever, but in Pokemon Go it's just a bunch of beatsticks.
The real game is about being smart, Pokemon Go is about collecting.Pokémon Go requires a very high level of intelligence to be any good at. The battling system is more based on the Pokémon you choose and less on the moves you choose for them sure, but correct shielding and much less chance outside of the shield mechanic as every move has 100% hit rate. At the highest level everyone has everything they want, it’s not about collecting at all, it’s about switching at the right time, catching moves on the right Pokémon, baiting, shielding correctly, timing and every once in a while a surprise attack can definitely win you some games. I find it to be more a realistic battle than the turn based system regardless.
Baiting ….Seems like an interesting gambit. I take that to mean you present one Pokémon and quickly switch out to catch the move on a second.
Is there a rhyme or reason to the timing of when Go lets you switch out? If there is it’s evaded me all along
