I'm going to try to post here at least once each day, even if the post is just a picture or something.
You can do so as well if you want I guess.
I woke up, worked from 8 am to 10 PM, and then decided to eat and sleep.
I also helped a student, which reminded me that life is not all bad. Most of the time I help someone they'll backstab me later. Hope it doesn't happen for the 100th time.
Why Sopranos, though?
My folks got the DVD Box Set years back and I never touched the thing until now.
Big. Mistake. This show's simplistically Freudian but the archetypes lend to a surprisingly effective flow of themes in the writing. The acting is top notch too, no one's really broken the immersion for me yet.
As for the daily update, I've done my d20 sessions for the week and otherwise have been practicing Reiko for Mortal Kombat 1 and spoiling kitties. Not really much to add for the day-to-day anyway.
The grocery order I got fucked up so I have some things I never would have purchased on top of everything I intended to get, which feels like looting someone else's grocery cart or something. Randomly now have two bottles of Organic Apple Juice, a box of Ginger Snaps, two loaves of rye bread, a box of saltines, a random bag of hamburger buns, and two bags of random chips (Tostitos and some Late July Multigrain Sea Salt). There was more but it was split with family.
How exciting.
I woke up. I worked from 8 AM to 10 PM, and then decided to eat and sleep. I cooked salmon with chicken in coconut green curry cream.
I also chatted with the office lady about fasting. I managed to get her to start fasting because she noticed how much healthier I look since I started it.
On the flipside, my students are picking up that I'm demotivated. Not a good sign.
Maybe I should switch jobs.

Ive avoided it too. I dont think Id like it though. i remember watching some 15 mins of it and then found it boring, years ago.
Beyond the acting, what's the most lasting scene youve seen so far?

How much do you think the demotivation could be connected to your fasting?

"Beyond the acting", that's like reading a book and asking "beyond the writing, what's good about it?", or traveling and being like "beyond the culture, what's good about it?". The show's more about character development as they go through their arcs, it's hard to ignore the acting. Even the dialogues are meant to be a clash between values as to demonstrate who they are in relation to one another, it's a people-driven story nestled within the criminal guise of everyday living.
It's less of a lasting scene and more of an invested buildup. Things said episodes ago can pan out episodes later in a way that makes that scene stronger in tandem than it'd have been by itself. The scenes I like the most tend to be based on the context of former scenes, like showing how someone's repeated mistakes become habits and eventually catch up with them.

I'm not sure I can get into it. It might take someone else interested in it to hype it up for me, but I don't know... Just not my kind of drama, I guess? TBF, though, sometimes the most interesting things have come out of me exploring outside my sphere of experiences, of course.

I think I'll wait for Tekken 8. I don't know if I will be able to invest into Mortal Kombat rn, with everything else.
Did you enjoy the random groceries or anything else occur with that?

How much of it have you seen already?

Mortal Kombat is a broken game, but it has a notable fanbase and it cost $70 for it so I am going to master it.

It has further informed me of how important it is that I manage my issues with sugar. Having two bottles of Organic Apple Juice I didn't ask for has me feeling slightly healthier than I felt without it.
