I'd base that choice on how my partner feels.

your partner wants to abort the baby if it's not a blue eyed male. what now?

Disabled fetuses should be used in stem cell research.

Like they'd consider it immoral to abort due to a genetic disease?

Yes. They would say it would be like stating people with down syndrome are not worth of living.

I understand. How do you think about it?

I think it is not an easy subject. I think in the end I would leave it up to the individual and would make them pay for it if I was a universal law maker. I do not have a lot of knowledge about different genetic diseases etc, there may be varying degrees of impediment one would have to consider etc.. I also do not know super much about the process of abortion. Morally I am kind of against it but I'd probably lean towards abortion if I knew my child was going to have a severe handicap like down syndrome so it is kind of hypocritical of me.

I know a couple with a child with severe muscle atrophy that has to be caref for lifelong and is bound to its bed. They are entitled to claim 24 hour nurse service so they have a permanent help to care for the child. They are very happy and say it became normal for him. The child basically watches TV all day and is happy, too, since he doesn't know life any other way. Oh, they made one normal child as well.

Your story is factually wrong. There are certain genetic tests you must undergo for the State and Trisomy21 (a.k.a Down’s syndrome) is one.
It used to be before the repeal of Roe V Wade that you could abort before 20 weeks in some states for any reasons. Abortion may still be legal for genetic compromise.

Where I live there are no such requirements and all such testing is optional

You have no strong feelings on the matter or are happy to defer to your partner regardless?

there is no gender to test, this won't be known until the baby becomes a toddler and can decide kek

My traits don't really support her desires, but it'd still be sex?
