That is so cool that you remember all that Canary.  BZ Also had a couple other features

- Can see in real time when someone is typing a response to a post

- Theads moves to the top of the list in real time

- Green light next to threads if someone responded to YOUR post

- Senate / Democracy system with the ability to senators to introduce "bills" to propose rule changes and appoint mods

- Reputation system

- Chat system was a lot easier imo

- Page load speed was faster than here

- The list of online users only showed TRULY online users-- where this website shows people who are offline too which is weird to me

- No stickies because I did not believe in empowering mods

-  Log of moderator actions for transparency

- The ability for any user to create their own forum, customize its look with CSS, set it as invite-only etc

great feature suggestions thx

I still have BZ but it costs over 100 dollars per month to host. I am too poor for that right now

Really? I thought you had a nice gvt job. How much do you make?

i think just average. my monthly costs are like 2000 dollars and i earn like 3000 each month after taxes and 401k and everything

I think I cuold get a huge raise if I switch companies but I am so highly respected where I am now and treated very very well. I don't think I'd find a cooler job so I take the less pay lol

2k per month? woah.

why don't you schedule some interviews, discover what they'd be willing to pay for you, and then negotiate a raise with your current employer?

If I work for government for 10 years all my student loans will be forgiven

Only 5 years to go lol

After I finish with government I want to travel

Also I currently am like the 1st officer to my It Director which I love. I get to pass off a lot of work to interns lol and I get to work frhom home a lot and everyone there loves me so its a really great job that i never get stressed out over

Money doesn't matter as much to me because my dream is to become a great programmer and go to space some day. I want to do something big like program robots to mine asteroids so this stage of my life is all about building up those foundational skills and setting myself up for success and an easy life in my 30s lol

my plan is to grow with humanity as we venture out into space and develop our AI skills and stuff. I want to be among those people who have the skills to do big things in space when the opportuntiy comes

Good luck with those ambitions. I'm going into military to obtain various skills to hopefully help become a great leader and survivor for whatever bullshit could come.

Doesn't leadership takes people skills and charisma?
