I want to address this post in a little more depth.

I get that people associate climate change with this kind of amorphous globalist agenda. I think that is a fair concern to have given how climate change tends to be weaponized by the left.

I'm not a scientist, but even regardless of agenda, isn't it somewhat obvious that we are shitting up the planet with plastics in the ocean, stuff that doesn't decompose all over the highway, just this general attitude of "fuck it"? I'm not even really bothered that we're missing out on potentially useful genetic material or whatever, more concerned about this utopian society people want where they hate on autistic little girls for not wanting everything to be shit.

 I don't actually have an issue with trees, and I do believe climate change is a real threat to Humanity, I pretty much agree with what you're saying. I just don't actually view Greta or what she represents as any form of hope or real solution. I am pretty critical of the movement, and what I see as Malthusian attempts to limit humanity's growth. I understand the concerns, but it comes with consequences, and it becomes a very hard thing to actually tackle. In general, I think in a lot of ways there's going to be an apocalypse, and its all going to be tied together, environmentally, economically, socially, etc, but that's derailing.

The left doesn't effectively challenge corporations who contribute wayyyyy fucking more to the problem than the average joe, and because of that I've grown to despise them, especially whenever working class people get fucked over. I'm not a scientist either, and I'm not even claiming to be that well informed in this department. 

My morality regarding it is mixed and honestly probably inconsistent. I mean I think of apocalypse, yet I'd rather not introduce methods that are cleaner that reduce growth and efficiency, especially when some greener methods may decrease output of food and cause food shortage. Which maybe it's completely wrong, but I remember hearing was happening in the Netherlands

Maybe I'm talking out my ass, and feel free to shit on me if so. I'm just more cynical of the situation, and feel as though we aren't going to ever effectively solve it, unless we just fucking destroy the corruption that helps cause it in the first place, which is in part the left who oh so speak of action, but none is to be found. 

Saying this as well, someone who is seen as far more "left wing" than most. (Brief though, I'm not blaming entirely left, the dichotomy becomes complicated for me. as I think in general it becomes redundant.)

We do need to control climate and while it is fine if we go eco and preserve nature and shit, I prefer we take control over it, with industrial machines and domination over nature, rather than limiting ourselves in any way. But if it's impossible now, I am willing to accept a compromise, as long as it's temporary.
