I hear you. I don't read too much TC these days so I wasn't paying mind to your conversation there.
What are your thoughts on God Complexes in general?
I believe that all human beings have divinity within them, but that no one is "more of a god" than anyone else
I'm going to post a few lines from it's wiki page to illustrate what it actually is:
1. A god complex is an unshakable belief characterized by consistently inflated feelings of personal ability, privilege, or infallibility.
2. A person with a god complex may refuse to admit the possibility of their error or failure, even in the face of irrefutable evidence, intractable problems or difficult or impossible tasks.
3. The person is also highly dogmatic in their views, meaning the person speaks of their personal opinions as though they were unquestionably correct.
4. Someone with a god complex may exhibit no regard for the conventions and demands of society, and may request special consideration or privileges.lol I definitely went through a phase of this, but yeah I can honestly say I have not felt this way in a couple months and it probably will not return because I just see myself as a human being with a good side and a bad side like everyone else now
I hope you're right, but disorderly traits and quirks have a tendency of coming back.
The best we can do is prepare for the bad times during the good ones, so that they will be less bad in the future.yeah true how should I prepare in this case ?
For myself at least, I try to keep a log of all the symptoms that begin surfacing that could warn of an impending episode. Before then it felt like they were sneaking up on me, but once I began to see the things that precede it I began to be able to prepare more for them.
Recognizing specific intrusive thoughts that tend to kick in before larger actions is one thing to try to track, even things like physical tics like sudden stuttering can be a clue. In your case reading back on older posts can be done to establish a timeline, you may even find it follows a schedule like it does for seasonal affective types, and even for cyclothymiacs they often follow durations that can be understood from prior times.
Establishing a consistency basis also helps, like seeing how well I can solve a puzzle or play a game on any given day to measure my activity and try to find patterns by doing those same challenges every day to measure for differences. Seeing it coming rids of a surprising amount of the horror, said horror often being what could make it worse.
