"eah but I just wanted to clarify that I do not automatically assume that every single autistic person on the spectrum can absolutely not understand anything figurative, because I do not think that and I also think that it could be something studied and learned to understand even if it does not come "naturally" to a person I mean ultimately knowledge empowers and enables and there are humans who act more like animals than human beings like almost feral in a way when they do not receive enough education (not accusing delora of this, I just am making a point that all of us understand what we understand now from what we have been taught in the past, and not everyone who is gifted at something became that way as a prodigy, often people have to study and practice to master anything)"

yeah but I just wanted to clarify that I do not automatically assume that every single autistic person on the spectrum can absolutely not understand anything figurative,  because I do not think that and I also think that it could be something studied and learned to understand even if it does not come "naturally" to a person  I mean ultimately knowledge empowers and enables and there are humans who act more like animals than human beings like almost feral in a way when they do not receive enough education  (not accusing delora of this,  I just am making a point that all of us understand what we understand now from what we have been taught in the past,  and not everyone who is gifted at something became that way as a prodigy,  often people have to study and practice to master anything)

It is actually from an Inductive bible study how to book lol  https://www.amazon.com/Stop-Reading-Start-Studying-Inductive-ebook/dp/B018WGXK4Q,  but I do like GotQuestions and have found that they have a lot of helpful explanations on various topics  not that they are all knowledgeable by any means but they have been decently resourceful for the most part

A Baptist so same thing.

Have you read anything outside the evangelical treatment of Hermeneutics?

In fact there are even threads that you have made about how you take everything literally and you blamed it on the fact that you have autism this is a "you" problem, not the entire autistic community as a whole problem

It is pretty common for people on the spectrum to not understand sarcasm and otherwise treat messages literally.

This can lead to them having some struggles with metaphor, but otherwise showcasing advantages in areas like science and engineering.

no, people with autism think of metaphors differently in the sense that we picture the metaphors as literal but many of us fully understand that they are metaphors. it takes us a longer time as children to learn metaphors but in my experience most autistic adults have learned what metaphors are and how they work.

This is why I used the word 'struggle'.

The Pharisees had the same struggle and Jesus had to have  aconversation with them about it,  so the Kingdom of God thing is decidedly a pride misunderstanding and not an autism misunderstanding............  the Pharisees were prideful,  not autistic  It is not that they did not understand metaphors,  It is that they did not understand what only the holy spirit could explain,  which is that the Kingdom of God had already come because Jesus the King was walking the earth

Yikes you guys,  come on keep up

 ^.^

Also no one on the entire forum was able to point out how it was not a lie,  and literally not one single article on the internet............  I had to figure it out all on my own with the help of the holy spirit  😬

not looking good for the "biblical scholars" of sociopathcommunity............

the closest the articles got were that he was not going to drink the ritual wine again until the Kingdom feast in heaven with all of his saints after the day of the Lord when the sheep are separated from the goats and all of Jesus's saints are gathered together,  but Jesus specifically said the fruit of the vine which could mean any products of vined fruit  thus meaning that He had to have been reiterating that the Kingdom of God had already come,  but none of you and not a single article online pointed this out,  or referenced Jesus talking to the Pharisees about the Kingdom of God,  and not only did I search for articles online but I actually posted my question on multiple Christian forums and nothing came from it............

Luke 11:20

20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

Luke 17:20-21

20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

more on the Kingdom of heaven that some Christians thought that he was referring to with the wine thing as some sort of future event  (I think that things can also be confusing because God is eternal and outside of time,  but we live a time based existence)

Matthew 8:11

11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 22:1-14

22 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
