All that matters is a little respect.
I don't really give a shit about holidays or your Birthday, and I set a boundary when it comes to that. I do better than twice a year, and if there were a trade off between what I do for others over time, in exchange for lol Christmas gifts, they wouldn't do it.
At the same time, I don't really get anything from anyone.
It's better to be the giver than the taker. Not everyone will understand why, but at the end of the day, I don't need others to reciprocate with material things.
