 LOL i just saw this. probably true

 I know it's true because the timeline fits. If Inq was already convincing her that she should be in a monogamous relationship with him and to dump TC- her showing and reciprocating feelings to TC might have put him off. She had convinced TC they were in a monogamous relationship up until recently. 

Inq is a coward and likely would have dropped it if she responded positively to TC and her non answer could be used as a playful rejection.
