Seems like it's one of those things where you're mostly fine with it when it comes from you, but when it goes to you you can't take it, which must make your time as an artist or doing business otherwise that much more difficult over how cutthroat it can be.

Seems like too strong a word for this. The guy's laughable, yeah, but I dunno about him being 'ridicule' tier so much as a symptom of a larger problem. There's a lot of content like this dude's and they're all about equally sad.
I think you resonate with him so much that you're taking my ridicule of you to be as if it's applying to him. I do see similarities between you and him, a lot of them actually, but he's got problems if he's putting out this much cope content while acting like it's for others rather than him speaking towards himself through his audience.
