When I was broke and struggling, they were there.
I don't just go out of my way to get them things, it's just over time they get stuff from me.
I have this one lady friend, she came to me last year to fix her laptop. She had it fixed before, the shop tried fixing the power port. they ended up using hot glue to merge the top and bottom piece of the laptop together, cause the screws in that area were busted.
Somehow that came undone and the bottom part was loose. She came to me cause the monitor after a while would go grainy and then freeze. I took the laptop, opened it up, removed the NvME M.2 drive ( something like an SSD drive with space, but faster ) and put it in my laptop and gave it to her so she can access her important files.
I ordered a new cable, the one that goes from the motherboard to the monitor and camera. ( 2 of them actually, I got the wrong part the first time )
It turned out the monitor itself is fucked and the only way to repair it is to use sponge to compress the bottom of the monitor ( a part of it that isn't exposed behind the upper casing. )
So I told her, I'll buy her a new laptop and I'll keep the broken one....
lol She said how about I get the new laptop and she keeps them both.
No deal.
Months goes by and she gets a new laptop, so she comes to me again to set it up. She wanted Word. I get it installed and running then bounced. I never put her old drive into the new PC cause that would void the warranty if I opened it.
She still has my laptop. Last I heard she was transfering files the hard way with a USB stick. I don't make a big deal out of it, no real reason to. What I understand is this friend of mine it kinda fucked up so I don't really react to how self absorbed she is.
