It is the interpretation of what's on the inside coming from the outside, so they'll place blame on others for what they're guilty of.
I imagine projection can also appear modest if the subject's claims were flattering and happened to resonate with the truth. In this case, this type of projection will most likely go unnoticed as it emits positivity into the targets life, however, when the subject accuses others of their own shortcomings, it then becomes problematic, the target then becomes more of a victim until the victims reality is comprised of others who view the victim in the same light as the false accuser.
People are busy and they don't have time to get to the bottom of every detail, so it's regular for them to just settle for words. This is good most of them time, but people should beware when others take the time to defame people. If it's important to interact with the accused, proceed carefully while the truth pushes it's way to the top.
Projection is said to be a self defense mechanism, where the subject is actually defending their ego, from themselves so they'll place what they don't like about themselves onto others, which is a form of gaslighting.
My observation of Turncoat indicates he does this endlessly, where he accuses another of his own misdeeds. Even though everyone knows the absolute truth, he carries on with the charade and continues to sell counterfeit ideas even to his victim, as he tries to make 'his' ( okay ? ) victims think they are forgetful.
The member "outtro" used to get along fine, but he drank the TC coolaid, and now, things are different. For shame. This is the effect of gaslighting ( Also see paragraph 3 )
When the projector fails to reevaluate the situation regardless of evidence, that would be a sign of malignant narcissism, and in this case, malignant narcissism is one of the attributes the projector associates toward his accused.
Such an interesting specimen, where old tricks are new to new faces making fools of them.
I do wonder what happens when the projector does decide to accept the truth as self evident, like everyone else does and cease their lies ?
Is it shame ?
Humiliation ?
Or maybe, more projecting.
