Yeah, I stole that term, to an extent, from the book. I read it, it is good in general. It reinforced the way I look at things.
The main things it teaches are to not be afraid of confrontation and suffering and how to handle it.
Confrontation.... Not being affected by conflict. I could see that being beneficial for those who don't know how to deal with confrontation.. Suffering.... Suffering can be good for you. To dull it... I imagine that being a slippery slope. But I haven't read the book.
Not dull suffering, but to not be afraid of it. I do think you should dull suffering sometimes however, depends.
