The "humans have the best endurance" shit is a myth. Humans cant beat horses, dogs, or ostriches in marathons.

Maybe not but they certainly don't need to be put down if they break a leg. It'll heal and they'll be for the most part okay

Thats because more medical attention is paid attention to humans. A lot of non mammals are able to regenerate limbs that they lose.

Actually humans have a pretty good resistance and healing rate, but their main advantages are related to stalking and patience.

From the link I left above:

 You're citing a forum post.

What did you expect, an article?

 Look for better sources, dumbass.

I could cite spatial's posts on how men are superior as well.

I wasn't trying to prove something to you though, merely reference it.

If you believe Spatial's posts as a reflection of your own opinions though, then go ahead. It'd still be representative of the things you think even if it isn't otherwise trying to prove itself.

Perhaps do a little more research before citing random forum posts on the internet.

You're citing a forum post without any credible sources. The poster sounds as dense as you.

I mean you don't really have to cite a source for most of theses, they're just common sense.

Our strength and speed is nothing to write home about, but we don’t need to overpower or outrun you. We just need to outlast you - and by any other species’ standards, we just plain don’t get tired.

Where a simple broken leg will cause most species to go into shock and die, we can recover from virtually any injury that’s not immediately fatal. Even traumatic dismemberment isn’t necessarily a career-ending injury for a human.

We heal from injuries with extreme rapidity, recovering in weeks from wounds that would take others months or years to heal. The results aren’t pretty - humans have hyperactive scar tissue, among our other survival-oriented traits - but they’re highly functional.
Animals can take quite a while to heal, and it can become infected through environment, pets less likely because they have a person looking after them.

Speaking of scarring, look at our medical science. We developed surgery centuries before developing even the most rudimentary anesthetics or life support. In extermis, humans have been known to perform surgery on themselves - and survive. Thanks to our extreme heartiness, we regard as routine medical procedures what most other species would regard as inventive forms of murder. We even perform radical surgery on ourselves for purely cosmetic reasons.

Yeah sure↑

You can't ignore intelligence when comparing characteristics, a lot of energy goes to it. If we were stupider, we would be stronger.

Regarding the whole strength shit, the simple truth is that aggression is what dominates. You can have the most intelligent idea and best attitude, but if you do not have the aggression to protect or enforce it, anyone who is more aggressive can will his own ideas on you. Aggression does not have to be physically violent, but at the end of the day, the guy with the gun decides who lives and who dies, it does not matter how smart anyone is, only who has the best gun or best skill at using it.

You can have all the freedom you want, but whoever has the Nukes, has the power.

Cheery bye!

Not to mention how humans are unique for being able to build up cortisol through imagined stress, having our ability to observe the passage of time work against us before the problem's even present to such a degree as to leave us more disadvantaged physically.

Once you get towards scientific advancements though brawn starts to mean less and less. Who cares who can punch better if both genders are, as you said, wielding guns for example?

The "Strength" flex has been sublimated into that of who has the best tools, meaning the one who is more intelligent overtime should become the stronger expression while the one quick to act out of passion and anger will become increasingly more likely to be singled out as barbaric. At this point the idea of strength exists more than strength itself.

Lena actually citing an article. Even the article admits that certain animals can travel over 100km a day, far greater than what humans are capable of.

Horses almost always beat humans in marathons, even while being ridden by a human. Also, humans have a limit of arond 2 hours while horses have a record of an hour and 20 minutes.

 The original Statement is:

Our strength and speed is nothing to write home about, but we don’t need to overpower or outrun you. We just need to outlast you - and by any other species’ standards, we just plain don’t get tired.

Its more about endurance and persistent hunting. Animals with the advantage of four limbs to run on may run faster and travel longer but can and will tire out and overheat as they cool by panting, taking in air to dissipate heat. We sweat it out, and that makes it so we can go out during what would be extreme temperatures for animals.

Humans are persistent hunters, they really do just need to outlast the prey. If the question is "can a human outrun a horse?" the answer is no. But if it's "can a human outlast a horse?" Then yes.
