There's more to support the two of them being a thing than there is Emily + Jesus in the scripture.
They bother mentioning her at all over the importance she had in his life, and at most he only casts her aside over how he hadn't ascended yet, but even this could simply be over him at that point appearing in a newer form as he looked over his own body. There is otherwise arguably no mortal closer to him than she was, traveling with him after he'd cast seven demons from her with her otherwise referring to him as her Rabboni.
There's enough symbols in there to suggest the two were married, but considering all the revisions and steering the writing went through I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't want Jesus' union with someone mortal and likely sinful to come to light.
