Pretty much. While it was penned by the hands of mortals it's believed that God was working through them, and since God doesn't make mistakes then the Bible must be his words, right? 

Assuming of course it was not written by Satan as 'An Angel of Light', even if just for a few of the stories that'd serve to bring him supporters like Job's tale. 

 Would it not be easy for people to add or omit certain things from it then, be like "creative loicense, yoink!" And write things that they'd want to be seen as word?

But they're Christians.

It was originally in Latin, so a lot of room for interpretation's there. 

That and the whole 'New Testament' thing, which was apparently written in Greek to help root out the Latin versions still in circulation. There's also accounts of ones in Hebrew and Aramaic, and the nature of language tends to treat words pretty differently. Some even question if Jesus walked on water based on this room for interpretive translation errors.

Honestly by the time The Bible became written in English it'd gone through so many retranslations that it may as well be Babelfished.

 The bible is God "inspired". So that everything necessary for salvation is contained in it.

To correct TC. The Old Testament was originally Hebrew and kept by the Jewish people. The manuscripts for the New Testament are originally Greek but made Latin by the Catholics. Translating is never perfect into another language so everyone has a different take.
