Would like it if the chat wouldn't instantly scroll down when someone's posting while I'm reading stuff from further up.
The chat menu on the right could use a bit of tidying up.
Also having notifications when you get a reply in a thread to one of your posts was nice.

I second this. Chat is a lot better when it is more compact. If it is not much trouble, the option would be nice.
Forum page numbers on the bottom of the first page would be good, so we don't have to scroll up to go to page number 2,3 etc.
Signatures often seem part of the posts to me. I keep reading them and being confused. Maybe there's a design trick we can do to prevent this.

Agreed, navigation links being in more spots would help for less scrolling per minute.

Three ways that that could be resolved:
A) Different font size, maybe a smaller one than the posts themselves?
B) MORE SPACING AT THE BOTTOM. I keep for the sake of making my posts look prettier having to add/edit in an extra paragraph indent to make my signature look separated.
C) Make the line more obvious. It's a black line on a grey background, whereas a white line would make the separation glaringly apparent.
Be able to see a User's name when you click or hover over their avi under the chatbox.

If you scroll over the avi from the right the username pops up after you reach the center, if you scroll over it from the left the username pops-up immediately.

I start homework, i come back 2-3 hours later... and 1) i cant post, 2) the error message that appears with "invalid credentials" takes up half my screen 3) i have to click out of the error message, refresh the page for the "log in" option to even become visible, scroll down past chat to log in, then try to find the thread i was just on without a search feaure, and find where i was in the thread.
This may seem like not a big deal but having to go through this processes 4-5 times a day is the biggest issue for me. I often check in for 5-10 minutes between homework and work and it feels like im spending a third of that time just trying to pick up where i left off.
