He did send me some vids, some pics too but I called him on Discord repeatedly back in April and he wouldn't pick up. 

I don't know how to prove that he's real. It is very funny that he's this much of a joke, that people are sceptical about him. Unless Scarlett is this mastermind who can orchestrate something of this scale + manipulate me for a year about it, then I don't know what to tell you but then anything is possible really.

Nah he's just got one wife. Scar has got a sis, two brothers and her parents as immediate family. Idk about the rest of the family's participation in the cult, I believe only her grandma and one of her aunts are the only sensible ones, which led them to be a bit dissociated with the rest of the fam.

 I don't think the dad is completely aware, but like I explained he's very good at twisting scripture to suit himself so I'm sure he'd explain it away. As far as the drugs go, I recall Scar saying that her parents didn't know. The dad sees Shifty as the legitimate husband and is generally not to be trusted.

Assuming you've seen her face beyond photos, like webcam or something across your year of knowing each other, this would connect her face to his existence. 

Doesn't necessarily prove the puppet is him, but it would prove that the guy is real and a part of her past. While this could be an unconvincing parody of him (if not someone else from her life that fit the bill) and while it proves none of her backstory's claim it is something tangible.

I believe so, but keep in mind the father drinks a lot of alcohol and they use alcohol during their weird prayers at the cult too. They've gotten drunk and frenzied before. I don't think there's much you could say to the dad where he wouldn't blame the woman. Remember how Shifty blamed Scar for his heroin addiction in his story? Take that and apply it to everything. Everything has always been her fault throughout her entire childhood.

 They sound like religious fanatics and the dad is abusive, but it doesn't sound like a cult. Growing up in hillbilly land I've seen hundreds of families like this; even whole communities. But they're no more 'cults' than Mormons or devout Baptists. Also, isolation from family and friends is one of the first and most important steps in indoctrinating someone into a cult. Doesn't seem like that was happening either. Sounds like Scarlet just had a shit childhood and ran to this guy to escape. I could be wrong.
