Lena, The Keyboard Karen

Well here we have it folks, everybody's good friend Lena. I mean, she is your friend, right? You can definitely tell her your every secret with no kind of repercussion in any situation, and I highly recommend you do. (disclaimer, DON'T)

But wait if she's your friend, why is the title of this post the keyboard karen? Well before we get into that we gotta define what a Karen is in the contemporary context. I'll hit up urban dictionary to this end:

"Middle aged woman, typically blonde, makes solutions to others' problems an inconvenience to her although she isn't even remotely affected."

"Karen is a pejorative term used in the United States and other English-speaking countries for a woman perceived as entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is appropriate or necessary. A common stereotype is that of a white woman who uses her privilege to demand her own way at the expense of others."

"Karens are rude ass people who just never stop complaining and call the cops for no reason"

"A crazy middle aged white lady that loves to get into people’s business and cause a problem."

These definitions go on and on, but the common themes are that a Karen is an individual that tends to insert themselves into the business of others. Karens are also typically middle aged white women.

I'll go for the low hanging fruit first. Her age is disputed as I've heard some say she's middle aged and some say she's a young adult. I'll just throw that one out. Now, we know she isn't totally European, she's only 41%. She's also 44% native American. So to be sensitive to her race, I will now refer to her as Chief Karen. I would also implore her to apply for Harvard because as we learned from Elizabeth Warren, she's got a good shot to get in.

Now for the meat of this. Does Lena enjoy getting into the business of others? Would one almost say she's….. aggressive, in this pursuit? A quick scroll through her post history with her whorechata account shows a clear record of accusatory calling-outs and calls for people to get censored. I can't attest to how justified she is in these pursuits, but that right there shows the habit is there.

But what effects an individual more than calling them out or censoring them is their real life. Now, there is a case to be made that some of the times she's intervened in somebody's real life may have been justice. But she is disproportionately involved in so many cases where SC members' real lives got effected. The classic example is the case of ChallengeSeeker aka Quintasia Walker. Now, I'd argue that she totally got what she deserved given the nature of her character. If this isolated case was the only one involving Lena I would chalk it up to justice. But then there's so many other examples and not all are as extreme as this one.

Before I get into a more benign yet telling case where Lena wanted to impact somebody's real life, I first have to question her motives in the other cases, where she took moves against the "bad" people. If she is really so compelled to bring justice upon wrongdoers, why doesn't she just become a cop? And with the amount of time she spends on the forum I just have to question what she gets out of it. I think a relatively recent example is pretty telling.

A few months ago, me and delora were trying to find a place other than where we lived at the time. Lena wanted to be the one to find the apartment for us. Looking back it's pretty absurd considering the fact that I was 20 and perfectly capable of finding a place on my own (which we did) and the task of finding an actual apartment is very clearly out of the jurisdiction of a random stranger on the internet who I barely knew. Nevertheless Lena would make two topics regarding this desire to help me find an apartment. Now, I don't know about you… but I wouldn't even want Lena to know my address let alone select it.

I understand she may have been trying to be nice, but this small example of her trying to impact my real life in a way as big as where I live demonstrates that she seems to almost have a compulsion to do this kind of stuff. I want to be as objective as possible, so I won't play Turncoat and pretend I know why. It could be a legit desire for justice. If so, maybe as I suggested she should become a cop or a guidance counselor or something. There are many ways to bust dickheads that are far more legit and productive than patrolling a sociopath forum in all of your free time.

If that isn't good enough for her, I may be forced to consider an alternative idea- that it's that precious feeling of control over another, or the feeling that you can impact them in a tangible way, and that high of validation from that control, reminds her of something or makes her feel something… perhaps that she even exists? I can't say for sure, I'm just reading between the lines with what I see from her.

For the time being until she finds a more proper means of channeling this need for whatever she gets out of it, she will continue prodding into the real life business of other people online, whether good people or bad people with her cyber mom bob and crown of feathers, a keyboard karen of sorts. I think one thing we can take away from this is, don't give your address to chief karen.

Yes, Lena enjoys drama and sometimes actively participates in the generation of it. She typically does that either when she's angry with someone, or feels like someone is behaving in a fucked-up way. This is generally benign behavior, except if she feels like someone is harming people. In which case she might do something she feels is morally responsible, like reporting you to the police.

I wouldn't worry about Lena knowing your address. She knew mine, and even after I did something that pissed her off, she didn't betray that trust. Now people like TC may disagree because she burned him a bit, but generally if you're not being fucked-up she is fair.

What I'm mostly getting out of this is that she did something that pissed you off that I'm not aware of because I haven't been around a ton.

First, i love the edit. The fact that you took time to do that is very sweet/cute. Super fun.

What wrong with calling people out? Who have i censored?

But what effects an individual more than calling them out or censoring them is their real life. Wait lmao what did i do to Quintasia?

Lawyer would be a better example as cops exist to protect property, not people. A social worker too which i have been, you burn out pretty quickly.

As i remember, i don't recall you having an issue with it at the time, I gave you some options for cheaper rent because I know you're a student. You simply could have said no thanks and i wouldn't have bothered, but i remember you more or less wanting to know these options while demora got mad about you breaking your promise to go to a different school and back to hawaii. Something like that.

I understand she may have been trying to be nice, but this small example of her trying to impact my real life in a way as big as where I live demonstrates that she seems to almost have a compulsion to do this kind of stuff. I don't even think i patrol most of the time, I'm just here to shitpost and have fun.

Lol so what brought this sudden thread into existence?

I thought you didn't participate in E-Drama?

I know a lot of people's address, and I'm not aware myself what I did to piss BR off, I don't dox people for fun. The one person I regret doxing is TC, and that was out of reactionary emotion i couldn't even name at the time.

It's wicked old news, one that I barely even bring up unless it's while talking directly at her on the forum from direct context.

People keep bringing that up for some reason.

Maybe Trypt got drunk and spilled the beans to you ?

Tryp can barely remember what time he woke up, how is he supposed to give valuable dox info?

Alright, I guess we're talking about this.

This is generally benign behavior, except if she feels like someone is harming people. In which case she might do something she feels is morally responsible, like reporting you to the police.

So in other words, you're fine with it because she didn't do it to you?

In the defense of accuracy, she's done this enough times towards enough people, either as an ultimatum threat or as something she's gone through with to try to divorce herself from it, to have it become associated as a part of her identity. It's used as an excuse to get payback on those who've crossed her, like calling CPS on someone after they call her names.

When she cannot carry it on the merits of the current social climate, and when she cannot leave it alone over her own obsessive attachment towards it from a sense of irresolution, she goes the extra mile in hopes of finding closure. This extra mile typically involves checking their social media, followed by mentioning it's public information.

She's even warned people to hide their details after she's gone on a deep dive, 'as a favor', but more likely as a means of relieving some sense of guilt over having done the dive in the first place.

What I'm mostly getting out of this is that she did something that pissed you off that I'm not aware of because I haven't been around a ton.

Are you fine with her choice of attack? It's not like everyone when crossed goes towards doxing and social media for a quip.

Just saying, even his own words tend to stem around how he was probably drunk or wasn't paying that much attention, and with age the guy's retiring more into this mindset.
