tfw kids in africa are starving while a double digit IQ square head heroin zombie can splurge on dumb shit to make her feel less ugly
i cant wait for iran to turn america into dust
We all our do our own part in what we can do to help others
Without America a lot of things would take a hit... uhm. Not only the organizations that small villages around the world are solely depending on to sustain themselves, their families, their health, securing their meals- the roof’s over their heads.
I think that what America has done for medical research and astrophysics is amazing as well. Amazingly necessary.
Um, the two doctors who treated patients of Ebola in Africa were American. They left their comfortable day jobs, to expose themselves to the most terrifying and lethal disease on this planet. In effort to help they risked their lives.
The people who protect our earth from meteor’s everyday are American, they sit at a screen all day everyday and analyze meteor’s approaching earth, and what to do to essentially break them up etc. This is a real thing that *is* happening. We just don’t hear about it on the news because it would be an outbreak of terror. Considering the meteors are large enough to send our planet into another ice age.
There are also many emergency surgeons, whether military, or through other organizations- doctor’s without borders, the peace corp, etc. That spend a lot of their lives in war torn nations, and saving people’s lives everyday despite the risk, the challenge, the limited resources- sleep, etc. It’s a very difficult life, and not only did these emergency surgeons dedicate 10 years of their life to rigorously studying, but then they come to your countries, and risk their lives, to save random people who will likely not even remember their face or their name. These trauma centers and operating rooms are not, like an American hospital either. They have to work in very difficult, chaotic conditions.
There are many people who are American that would carry you on their back if you had a bullet wound... and yes there is disparity in the world, in many places. Injustice. There is wrongs. There is greed.
But there are also good people, who you can rely on, and who want peace for our planet. Especially, the Middle East.
I wouldn’t take your anger out about my imperfections as a human being, on all of America. Yes, I am not a perfect person by any means. But this isn’t something to be outraged about, as I’m not harming anyone... and like I said- we can all do what we can. To make the planet a better place. Or we could, divide, further. Creating more problems than solving them.
It’s really up to us how we behave toward each other as human beings.
So this probably makes no sense to you but as it comes further into fruition you will see it come together. Designing my own piece of furniture.
I also forgot to add the iPad, Mac, TV, and iPhone, book mounts will all be custom made by myself as well, because there just isn't anything on the market like I am thinking. The problem is that something at the quality and functionality level I am thinking, is very difficult to mass produce for a profit. So people sacrifice quality and cut corners making a shittier product, where there is more profit on it- and people buy it anyways- because nothing else exists.
But I find it incredibly frustrating I can't adjust my iPad's angle of screen like I can on say a laptop, or the same issue with a book mount or phone mount- they don't move. I also want them to extend out of the mount and float- and then they can move horizontally and vertically along this mount sliding thing I have on the wall.
Once everything is in a place you like you can just put shelving over the mounts very easily, they click right into them, disguising their existence. Then LED lighting can be installed on the underside once again- very easily. They just stick on. So the shelves have an under glow, and a glow from behind as well. So you have two strips of LEDS
It's very functional and minimalist, and literally, just. ugh. nothing makes me happier than this thing I've made up lol, I love making things that are perfect.
I think once the final product is finished as well my mom can help me patent it, if possible and make it come to fruition. Like I said in my apartment makeover thread (linked above in a previous post in this thread) I know a guy. [a guy who professionally makes things out of wood and metal, etc.] Very fun! Wee!
- (unrelated rambling that has nothing to do with this piece of furniture I'm designing lol) -
we were also discussing creating an e-board for commercial interior designers to present their projects on (they have to pitch their designs) because right now, the most sophisticated thing we are using- is a fucking board from Michaels which you glue fabric to. There are a lot problems with this, the fabrics are affected by the glue, as well as lighting- and pieces may fall off because the glue doesn't work too well on one fabric or sample piece of steel or wood, etc. They're very time consuming to create, and they're heavy to lug around, and fall apart very easily.
People's jobs depend on these, and presentation is everything with a customer- so people put way too much work into these boards.
So we've been talking for a while now about creating a much more sophisticated design for designers to just, have.
They spend loads of money on design equipment- and the amount of time this would save them on every project for the rest of their lives, the fact they could double their clientele in a sales period, etc, it's well worth how much it would cost to own.
So yeah. That's another little invention I have up my sleeve.
My father likes to invent things like this and loves business adventures and starting new projects so, I got this whole side from being raised around someone like this and it's probably somewhat genetic. I've always been "inventive" and "venture capitalist" like he is. He is a professional number cruncher, he goes into a business, analyzes everything and makes it function better to multiply their profit, usually by 5x. He is extremely good with numbers to the point that he's won very difficult awards from it. He took a 5 million dollar company and turned it into a 500 million dollar company, in less than a year. My dad is a genius when it comes to numbers, business, and invention. He also likes to fund new business ideas, sort of like the dudes on shark tank. He finds good ideas, or they come to him, and he makes it happen- but in a way that will work.
But yeah he has created dozens and dozens of amazing ideas, some of it pertaining to the health care industry, he has also worked with the makeup and film industry, specifically the creation of set designs and furnishing the things you see on TV. He is also involved in other industries which I don't want to name because, it would be too specific and you might be able to find who he is. So he has involvement in a wide array of things and it's really cool all the stuff he gets to be a part of and all the people he has gotten to meet.
I would say the best idea he has ever thought of though- though the has made many- is an invention that will allow companies to categorize and analyze stock through an app/computer software system. It's quite elaborate and complicated, and he sat down and explained it to me once for about 2 hours I mean, he's a mad genius with this stuff. But it's really cool and I think that will likely make him anywhere from 10-40 million after he creates it and sells it to a few major companies. Since he already has connections because of what he does and is well trusted with maximizing profit for various industries, there are people who would buy this software from him directly. 10-40 million would be on the lower end of what could potentially happen with this software. It could potentially blow up big time- meaning he has more than like 100 clients who bought it directly from him- or, a very large big name company like apple or google buys it from him directly, he would be making an insane, insane amount of money from that.
My mom is more into real estate and investing, stocks, etc. And has a very keen eye, as well as multiple business advisors and friends, connections, lawyers, contractors in this area that can help her understand what to do. She also works with another company that is involved in, creating large buildings. Is all I can say to keep that private but uh, she's been in that business for a very long time. Furniture, architecture, lighting/electrical, interior design, these are all things she understands like the back of her hand- and the ins and outs of these industries- as well as the people in them. She also used to work in the entertainment industry, and is fairly connected in that. She plans to buy a large apartment building as her retirement fund essentially, and hiring a management company to do everything for her. The profit it turns will allow her to be wealthy until the day she dies, without having to lift a finger.
My mom also likes to write, and paint. And is extremely artistic and whimsical, adventurous. Loves reading books and, thinking about philosophy, space, and science. She originally wanted to be a veterinarian, but studied journalism- and somehow wound up in this whole business side of things with my father instead. Due to marrying into his company, which was handed down to him by his father.
So that tells you a bit about why I talk about these topics so much and where my random business or real estate knowledge comes from, why I'm always inventing things, especially furniture.
Because this is something I know people in, and I know I can actually invent and make happen.
Anyways, while we're talking about business- I'm thinking about starting an online business for now instead of investing the money in a real estate property (though I'm very sad because it's going to go very quick, the house I was talking about earlier in a previous post) there will be more opportunities like this one, and the market is up right now so it's not even a good time to buy realistically.
I'm also learning auto-cad, CET, and Lumion (why I have a windows and MAC computer and so many devices lol), just on the side. So I can establish a profile of work, and be hired free lance through designers my mom knows to take technical drawings and bring them to life and make them into beautiful 3D moving presentations, which are used during sales pitches to big commercial clients. Free lance lumion artists make anywhere from 50k a year or more.
(I spent roughly 2 years in design school and worked for my moms company for quite some time as an assistant so I have a very solid understanding of, technical design work, and how everything works when something is actually being created, the issues that come up like (omg we're on a sink hole! or omg, that's a load bearing wall. or, omg... this electrical isn't up to code!) and the technicalities to worry about like, ADA compliancy, safety rules, etc. I know a lot about random shit like, estimation sheets and how to do them, specific fabrics and how to order things on the phone, how to skip third party furniture distributors to get cheaper prices, as well as "green friendly" compliancies and legal issues that come up in each state for design work. I also know way too much about wood, and the different wood grains. Like, there is a type of wood that has to be used to hospitalized because it is bacteria resistant. There is a type of fabric that can't be used in calfironia, or paint, because they have stricter "green friendly" standards there. There is approval processes through the city to go to like, in st. Augustine it's historical so you can't change this or that on a building etc. I just, I know how it goes.)
This is why one of my sisters businesses is extremely profitable, because of the connections my mom has to the hospitality industry with big name hotels, my sister was able to very easily get an art curating and art install business off the ground, where her pieces are put in hotels and she makes big money doing it. And this is only one of her businesses. So, we're a very entrepreneurial family.
These videos help me with my anxiety attacks by the way
not having one currently but, when i am, i watch these or
ASMR,
sometimes Jessica Kellgrin videos as well, because she smiles a lot and is very pleasant and doesn’t mention many triggering topics- and gives trigger warnings in her vids.
But yeah something about these videos I’ve listed is very anxiety soothing and pleasant, and helps calm me down a bit. Giving me something to focus on other than the anxiety, distracting me from it actually helps break it down and make it stop or fade out.
And the videos have to be trigger free so, talking about stressful things or unpleasant things will make it worse for me. It has to be very positive and smiley and like, “happy” everything is fINE :)
basically how klonopin or Xanax makes you feel, but, instead of in a pill it’s a video.
These do work sometimes.
There is a difference between anxiety and panic attacks btw. I dont know if these help with panic attacks as much, but it can like, as you’re coming out of it and trying to stay out of one, or if you feel one coming on maybe you can avoid it by watching this and distracting from it.
But once you’re in it- it’s, i don’t know if a video like these would fully work. It’s very hit or miss what works for them honestly lol but i have an arsenal of a few different things. When all else fails, klonopin works. But it’s a last resort and used for extreme, unbearable/dangerous, and lengthy ones, that involve full bodily shaking for like 3 hours. At that point I’m like ok, nothing else worked, have to take my coo coo medicine now cuz I’m fucking losing it.
