drawing up le plans:
in the bedroom I'm going to do a stonewall paper that is textured, peel and stick. over the whole wall. in a chunky light sparkly glam type of rock, that is white-ish. where the tv and fireplace is.
and the rest of decor who knows, the software was limited but this was just. laying out basic placement of things.
because I'm in an apartment I can't change things like the wall color, or the stone accents of the kitchen counter, and wood on the cabinets. so I have to do my theme to suit this.
realistically I can technically but I don't want to do the work to do that.

not everyone likes this style of things being really minimal but that's just how I like my home to be. open, airy, minimal, clean lines. The less furniture I can run into and accidentally knock over the better.
like I already know those lamps bu my bed are going to get knocked over guaranteed.
also in the front entry the black piece of furniture by the door I'm going to custom design, I know a guy who professionally makes custom furniture. He's, top notch. And I'm going to make it into a disguised hamper thing. I can draw up the design and show you but. Basically when I come in my house I strip naked so instead of throwing everything all over the floor I can just pop open the disguised hamper by the front door, and become insta-naked. and leave no mess for myself to clean up later and also trip over many times.
just trying to make my space function for what I need it for right now.
I also don't want anything to happen in the bedroom other than relaxing and sleep. it's a sleep hygiene thing. so that's why I have it so minimal in there.
I like huge work spaces so that's why my desk is so large. that's also going to be another custom piece. and yeah the sofa will be linen. and the comforter will be much fluffier on the bed, with some pops of interest and color on the pillows throughout the room. not sure if I'm sticking with that rug color but that's the general idea.
obviously won't be using any real leather or real cow hide and things like that.
there is lighting also missing from the design which I couldn't do in the software but basically I' going to put LED strips like, behind the desk and behind the tv to give them an under glow, maybe put a neon sign instead of the map display or something over the couch I don't know yet. maybe not. but if I do a painting there I will have it lit properly.
the kitchen also had LED underliighitng inside and outside like underneath the cabinetry and it looks really cool so I want to continue that theme. and then the natural lighting coming in from the view of the windows adds a lot to the space too that digital software just can't mimic. once all the lamps are on, and the candle is going and that natural lighting is coming in, the color scheme is going to melt with the lighting tones perfectly to create a very warm, comfortable atmosphere.
it just looks a bit fluorescent in the software. :X
can't wait to make this come to life, will continue updating this thread with ideas and drawings pertaining to this ongoing, makeover process.
