Always Negotiate your debts

My medical bills were sent to a debt collector because my family essentially hid them from me with good intentions.

I owed $7,000 but negotiated it down to $4,300.

If you get a big medical bill let it go to collections and then negotiate the debt, it will save you thousands.

We are in debt, but we may go into bankruptcy since br is young, this is what his aunt suggested and also my mom

 Enjoy the horrible credit score.

 This was literally my inspiration.

Medical bills don’t really do anything, you don’t have to pay any of that for any reason.

Couldn't it hurt your credit and stuff?

If you declare bankruptcy you wont be able to buy land for your farm. Don't declare bankruptcy unless you are over 100K in debt. You two are doing just fine.

Sc is pretty boring.

They mean something if you want to keep your credit score in tact, they will give you derogatory marks on your report which can   shave off 15 points a piece.

I've effectively been sitting on the same one year of college debt for years thanks to negotiations in relation to my disability.

UK law allows us to ignore them and after a certain amount of time the debt simply disappears.

I once robbed Lloyd's Bank of £20,000 and Barclays of £4,000 - I had court letters and the odd bailiff at my door but unless they're from high court or have police with them - they've no right to enter your property. The letters and visits dried up years ago. 6 years I believe it is before it stops. I checked my credit report recently and there's no trace of them.
