Eh, the point of this thread was that I dont want to spend any more money on make up. The Venuce Beach palette isnt very expensive and I would rather just buy it than buy dupes. The point of finding dupes in my own collection is so I could grow bored of it organically instead of continuing to pine for a palette i wont use just for the name on it

do you think there will ever be a point where the scent and perfume industry will be so oversaturated that the next novel thing will just be the smell of shit and rotting corpses? Then maybe we will get off on the pure contrast of someone smelling like shit while everyone else runs around with delicious 500 dollar fragrances

I know but, it was fun to try and think of a palette that could dupe it. It’s pretty hard to find these exact shades all in one palette that would be cheaper than the actual palette or a better deal.

But when you start taking formulation into account, as far as quality goes. It’s, actually hard to find a comparable formula- let alone, the shades. While still remaining under budget.

Like for example I’m sure you could compile a custom makeup geek palette, or, some other indie brand. Even Kylie sells singles. But at that rate, you are spending more than you’d pay for the palette.

I didn’t want to justify buying this palette, I wanted to show this palette up, and be like, hah- SEE, I can find the better deal. But, the better deal doesn’t seem to exist. Unless you’re willing to sacrifice formulation quality which- I’m personally not.

Haha.

Needless to say, there’s been a few really cute Halloween palettes that have come out. If you have more of a goth or grunge style, then you can justify purchasing them for fun to use through out the year. But if you know you’ll only use it one time of year, I’d probably refrain. Despite them all being so so cute :P

it's all about blending, technique, and tools used.

i find when i use the proper brushes and really follow the instructions of a tutorial instead of just like slapping it all together with one brush, it makes a really big difference.

and just really spending the time to blend and build.

and then shimmers you hit em with setting spray or apply with the finger for the pop

Good things come to those who wait. The Peach was patient and now, with a little help from a friend, Peachy gets the Bailey Sarian Palette :3

Ipsy! It's a monthly beauty product subscription service. They have 3 kinds, regular is $12 a month for 1 full sized product and 4 mini sized products. Plus is $25 for 5 full size products, and Ultimate is $50 for 12 full sized products.

When you sign up you fill out a short questionnaire about your makeup/ skincare/ hair care preferences, skin tone, color preferences, etc. Each bag is personalized based on your preferences and you can rate items you get to improve future picks for you.

I get the regular glam bag and I have really liked it so far. Some things I got recently that I have really liked:

Pūrlisse youth glow vitamin c CC cream in fair 7ml travel sized

Veriphy 20/20 phytoglygogen + peptide eye cream 5 ml deluxe sample

Realher Confidence in My Glow Highlighter mini 1.5g

Complex Cukture Overtime Blush mini 1.5g

Mischo I Jama nail polish (full size)

They have a good mix of indie and prestigious brands. They also have a reward system, you get points for getting people to join with your code and you can redeem the points for more makeup. Last month they had a special to get a Venice Fling palette if you invited someone and they signed up from the link you sent.

You should check it out, I think you would find it interesting

Ipsy.com this is just the website url, not my unique link bc when I send people my unique link it shows them my real name and account

Edit: looks like the ended the glam bag ultimate option this month an introduced a new option called Glam Bag X, $55 for 7 or 8 products currated by a celebrity. So... influencer meets boxycharm I guess.
