So I told my self I would NOT buy anymore makeup this year, especially no palettes, but Bailey Sarian released a palette with Estate Makeup last month and I want it so I'm talking myself out of wanting it.
First of all, looking at it, I don't love it. It's mostly brown and red with a yellow and purple shade and I dont wear any of those colors on my eyes. But! It has 2 medium matte brown shades and I dont have any brown mattes even though I constantly think to myself I could sure use a medium brown crease or transition shade. I've ammassed a nice collection of entirely pinks, mauves, peaches, and plum shades. Although there are cheaper ways to obtain litterally 2 medium, warm toned browns than buying a whole ass palette, but it's Bailey and it's limited edition so I want it for collector's value too.
Plans for this thread: analyse each color individually, then find out what is the closest I could dupe to this with what I have, and spend several days only using my closest dupe to determine if I would ever get use out of this palette.
Likely even if I talk myself out of buying it now this will end up being another Too Faced Sweet Peach situation where I buy it for 1/3 it's cost on r/makeupexchange 2 years from now, but also it is a limited edition collab with a beloved micro-influencer, would anyone who made the decision to buy it ever decide to sell it anyway? I prob wouldnt. I'd keep it years after it goes expired until well after Bailey ends the Murder Mystery Makeup series and I finally decide to declutter it as old nostalgic junk at a point when no one else will remember it enough to want it.
The browns and reds and yellow are kinda good for fall tho.
