I can't read minds, so I can't say for sure, However, my best guess is that he feels it'd be unbeneficial for him to have a moderator who's familiar with the topic. I've seen every evidence state that TC can act unbiased. I have seen no evidence to the contrary.

We'd need to see if he even wants to, and he'd need to be here or we'd need some other public means of witnessing it. 

I'm happy with TPG. I'm not sure if he's available.

Turncoat would be the ideal choice due to familiarity with the topic. Why do you not want to have him as the moderator? The moderator can direct the flow of the conversation for example if you're moving the goalpost and refusing to acknowledge it. Turncoat was pretty good at being a moderator already.

Can you make the format 5-minute opening speech each, followed by 15 minutes discussion, and then 15 minutes Q&A by the others?

Also, do I get something if I win?
