I don't see how moderating a scholarly debate between these two academians would get in the way of that.

Does the format have to be that strict? I'd prefer us each to just set the premise as we see it, then discuss and see where that leads us.

It can be flexible on the time but we do need an opening + discussion + Q&A. Additionally, the duel needs to have a `special` one-time card to `call a friend.` They'll have 5 minutes max. to answer whatever the duelist wants to ask about.
