That's not what I said.

My daughter is smart and a good cook, and still would be, even if she lost the use of both legs and one hand.

If she had no hands though, or went into a coma?

My son has a strong back, and he's happy to help me clean the house.

He still would, even if he lost the use of both his legs.

What if his back gave out?

I'd have to ask again bc it's been many years since I last had this discussion with her, but I've been instructed to pull the plug after a year (her wish was actually a shorter time frame, but I would give her a full year to wake up from her coma.)

It won't. Your other questions are extreme hypotheticals, as they are.

To add "broken back" to the list is absurd. He doesn't do anything that could put him at risk of a broken back.

Freak accidents are different. If either of them were in a freak accident, their value would be in dragging the corporation responsible through court and forcing them to pay for our fully accessible dream home  :D

What if the person only half-comes back, as a talentless shell, an echo of their former humanity?

It doesn't have to break, even a slipped disk or some light realignment can fuck someone up majorly, and all any of that takes is some whiplash from the passenger's seat, or even bad posture overtime.

I knew someone who got their knee perma-busted from someone just trying to run up to give them a hug. Life's fragile and prone to drastic changes when we're the least prepared for it.

What if it was something they screwed up on on their own, something seemingly obvious to a third person observer but otherwise felt like a good idea at the time? It's not like every screw up is someone else's fault. What if they lost functionality without somewhere to draw value from it?

I dunno you'd struck me as someone who'd care beyond the practicality of one's existence. How would it be for you if you were the one who lost mobility or something?

TC's question is insightful. In essence, he is asking if you love your children beyond what they're useful for. I mean, I would've expected you to just say yes. Personal preference is all fine and good. But it's curious that you went to how your children are useful to you.

If I've learned anything from this forum, it's that ppl are not allowed to be beggars.

I've always demanded hard work and usefulness from myself, anyway. So when the doucherags from psychoforums and SC1 started tryinta tell me I don't work hard enough, it was just an echo of all the ridiculous Hector Projector right wing bs I've been hearing all my life, from other people who are way lazier and worth way less than I am.

But it's a taste of what's out there waiting for my kids.

So hell yes. My kids need to understand that nobody will give them a handout, and that the best way to avoid being attacked by the douchebro right (who are actually just looking for ppl to throw under a bus and don't rlly care so much about who's working and who's not) is to work a little and lie a lot  :D

Ofc I love my kids.

TC is just digging for smthg to troll me about. He's the one who brought it up, as if my kids and some slobbery dog are the same kinda thing  :P

Cool, it's always nice to hear people make something out of themselves, and you seem like you have things figured out. I can respect that. Although, I don't mind people not working hard, either. It's a choice.

Are you an old member? I don't remember seeing you before Luna's forum had gone down. We've certainly never chatted. But I guess I was inactive for, what, 3 years, and then only appearing here on and off, so I probably missed a lot of what was going on.

Oh, sure. I'd do the same for my kids if we ever decided to have any with my wife. Today's society spoils kids. What they really need is a bit of tough love.

TC has good reasons for saying what he does. He's one of the smarter members here.

Those Dodge dogs can be mean, apparently.

If I were going to get a dog, it would be a working dog on a beautiful farm full of milking does, and it would be a dog like Toby.

I'm not rlly a fan of keeping dogs as pets.

Any creature that costs more than $20/ month to feed should work to earn its keep.

Humans, dogs, cattle, they're all the same to me in that respect.

I prefer cats for the opposite reason actually. Animals are amazing in the wild to me.

The idea of dogs being bred for our convenience kinda creeps me out. Not to mention pugs and those long sausage dogs.

I find it weird that you see animals as mere tools, but I guess that's not my problem.

That's bc you've never had to pay to keep a dog.

They're crazy expensive to care for. The numbers I threw out above are also the best case scenario for a dog that's reasonably healthy and well behaved.

I didn't even mention the cost of replacing everything that gets ruined during their paper training and teething phases.

Dogs shouldn't be house pets and bed warmers.

They should be left in the wild, or trained for a purpose similar to what their natural instincts compel them to do.

 lol ikr.

I can't stand small, yappy dogs. They're like extremely stinky and double annoying toddlers that never grow into anything useful.

And the high pitched yapping drives me batshit.

At least a good number of the larger breeds have nicer sounding voices when they have to bark.

If a family member were dying or smthg, and I absolutely had to take in a dog to keep it from dying or w/e, I would prefer to have a love-hate arrangement with a larger dog lol

And yeah. I love cats   >;<

I thought we did this thread already? TK's Suicide By Cop thread?

Mine would be a suicide vest and border crossing credentials paid for by Antifa.

With a high profile greedy American politician or hatemongering pundit as my target.

That would be my last good deed for humanity before I end my worthless legless existence.

I'm not a fan of suicide, btw. Feeling shitty or friendless or w/e is no excuse to admit defeat.

And I especially hate whiny ppl who go on and on about it for attention, and then never do it.

But if I were to suddenly become like my disgusting, sickly mother, I would not be worth anything and would therefore have no right to take up space on this planet that would be better used by some other creature. So I would blow myself up and take a few douchebags with me, to leave the world a slightly nicer place than the world I came into.

@ Legga... I just remembered... lol I had dozens of sock puppets on the old forum.

So I remember you, but you don't remember me  xD

I used to love to dress up like other members and tease them about their posting mannerisms  ;D
