Makeup Just For Fun's comparison swatches of That's Taupe vs Stone Cold Fox

You know the saying in makeup "sisters but not twins" well I'd call these swatches twins but the kind you can tell apart like Zack and Cody on The Suite Life. While my primative reptile brain still wants That's Taupe to complete my 9 pan neutrals set, my rational primate brain is now saying to go with Stone Cold Fox and I could dupe any look That's Taupe can do.

Here are comparisons of Stone Cold Fox with Making Mauves 

 This one is a little more Sisters Not Twins, no real dupes here but very similar color story. This comparison also makes me think I could just save on cost and get That's Taupe and use my 3 neutrals as a replacement for this single palette. Mostly what I would be missing that Stone Cold Fox has to offer in this case would be the grayish shades.

Those swatches are really pretty, and I looked up blush crush and love the looks I’m seeing done with it. 

Oh and i forgot to mention, the Kosas foundation because it was so hard to scrape off my lips lol, i literally accidentally ripped some skin off my lip which is so attractive and cute for me 

love that for me. 

Side note, i think I’m finally getting the hang of finessing with this Fenty brown pencil. I think i was just using it the wrong way LOL when i said it was really dark harsh lines,.. thats because i was fucking pressing too hard 

LOL sorry... its a learning curve trying a new product. 

But I’ve found it actually is a really nice product, not sweat proof, not transfer proof. But, when you like, feather lightly with it and make hair like strokes very very lightly, very, very lightly. Very. Very lightly ok. And, you do it in the direction of the hair grows- don’t do any filling in it will look bad. Just only make hair like strokes. That is it. Seriously. Only fine sweeping line movements. 

Then it will look good. 

I might have to do a tutorial to show how it works. 

Wanna get more shades before then but. 

Yeah and the uh, the spooLIE on the end of it the SWEEPY brush thing, i do not like. Perhaps i once again just, dont understand how it should be USED but.. yeah over all I’m like??????? Because the brush thingie just removes all of the product. I have to recommend going with a very light hand if using the brush thing, and not, going outside the brow with it or it will leave brown marks on your skin :) and look like poop dirt 

that is all. I’m having a better brow day today because i actually did this technique better. Thank god. Is it perfect no but, practicing little by little each day is helping me get better. I’m learning. 

Brows has always been something thats not my forte, unfortunately so yeah I’m just, still learning in that area. If it weren’t for brow queens posting tutorials I’d be clueless. 

That's Taupe is sold out and I am wishing I had listened to the FOMO :/ I thought I would have time to wait on it and buy it later but nah. This palette was crazy popular. I feel the post-FOMO Missing Out part now.

Also I just watched a Jaclyn Hill tutorial for the first time and I'm gonna try to copy her Birthdayvsmokey eye tutorial vid from 8 years ago but with my sweet peach palette

Okay so Huda Beauty has a new palette coming out and looking at these swatches: I want it. You want it. We all want it. This baby is gonna fly off the shelves.

But looking at the palette itself

Jesus christ that shade Slippery was a fucking CHOICE. It looks like a moldy petri dish. It looks like lumpy alien herpes. And you just KNOW everytime you use it it'll pick up just a slightly different color combination. Huda's website calls it: a "Never-Seen-Before Gloss with encapsulated Bronze & Berry Pearls" which wtf does this mean by gloss? Eye gloss? Is that were this glossy dewy glossier 2020 makeup trend is taking us? That said ngl this FUCKING GORGEOUS but this is $67 so I'mma watch every youtube guru who gets their hands on it but I'm not gonna go for it myself- especially since so many shades are mixed shades, there is too much uncertainty about exactly how those colors will swatch each time you use em.

I want that lol 

idc about the gimmick-y pan textures. I just like the color scheme as it is. Bubbled pans and swirly glitters don’t trick me into buying things. 

But I will actually get use out of these colors and it’s just so pretty for winter it reminds me of hot coco by the fire and just snow and knit sweaters. It’s just such a mood 

I also want the silk balm, when this drops I will get the silk balm with it. 

Those are my top priorities from them rn but literally everything Huda is a justifiable purchase for me. I love everything she makes.
