I want this palette so bad tbh. I'm a sucker for Colour pop 9 pan cool-tone neutral palettes. Makeup Just For Fun swatched it next to Naked3 though and they are similar enough that I'm just going to use the UD palette I already have instead. Besides, I am not really a big fan of dark shimmers, I just love the 5 cool toned mattes!

Gotta focus... I'm shifting into soup mode...

Brows:

I’ve also continued giving the Fenty brow a go, and I’ve been using my Elf brow pencil a go as well and.

To be honest, these two brow products are both not the exact right shade for me, so I really need to purchase them in the proper shades.

I’ve been comparing them to my Lime Crime and my ABH pomade. I also have a Benefit brow pencil, and all of Kylie’s brow products.

The only top product I dont have to compare these all to, is the glossier brow flick thing.

I’m not sure if Patrick Ta has a brow product but, I have his soap brow product. And I have to say, it’s not worth the money at all. You can get better hold and seperation with less hassle, using got2b hair gel. The Patrick Ta just, doesn’t have hold, no matter how much you build up... and then, they look sort of, white cast ever so slightly if you have a darker brow, and then if you continue building it up it just becomes a huge mess of chunks of soap and it’s just, gross. It’s meant to be quick and effortless so, just a few swipes of the product and that’s it, go no further. But if you want it to then *stay* like that, you’re going to need hold gel. The Patrick Ta soap I noticed does thicken the brow a bit, and then defines the ends allowing them to stick up.

It’s funny, I was doing this to my eyebrows back in like 2018 I wanna say? And I thought I was weird for doing it, but- apparently it’s all the rage now, using got2b on your brows to make them hold in place.

The Kylie brow, I’d rate a 7/10. It will give you the Kylie brow look. Which makes sense. But it’s not goign to be about precision, or give you definition. And the powder and pomade is sort of lighter, which gives it good malleability. But it won’t give you the “all natural” brow look. It’s going to give you Kylie brow. Which when I bought it was what I was looking for so, I’m not complaining I’m glad that they somehow perfected a formula that creates her specific brow look, I Think that’s awesome and, a good job on the brands part.

The Lime Crime is a 9/10. There is room for improvement, perhaps expanding their line. As I want even finer precision, and lines that are a bit lighter than they come out, and thinner. They have decent hold, but they will sweat off. (Sad face). And, it’s not build able. I would like to see more shades and colors. Like there is nothing for red heads. And the deep category is kind of lacking as well. And then the brown undertones really vary. So yeah, just, more shades over all. Their blonde however is, really an excellent blonde brow product and, I’d have to say it might be the best there is on the market for blonde brows. What would be interesting to see however is, a bleached brow pen, for people who have platinum brows, and for there to also be multiple different blonde shades, including shades that work on deep complexions. My other complaint is that sometimes the pen is inky and juicy, just the right amount, other times, it’s a little too much ink, and other times it’s like fading. Not sure why but there is inconsistency there in the applicator. And my last complaint is that the deepest shade, “Smokey”, becomes a bit green sometimes if you overlap or try to build it up. As long as you keep your lines seperate I don’t notice this problem. But yeah it can become a bit shiny and green which isn’t ideal. And when it dries down it fades a bit, less pitch black like eye liner and more like, ash black or charcoal-y brown. And ONE more thing, I would perfect is, make the pens the color of the shade you’re grabbing and just make the color choice labeling more clear, on all aspects of the pen, the top bottom sides the cap everything.

The Elf brow is waxy, and doesn’t go on as smooth and creamy as high end brow products, and it is not malleable. Because of this though the formula doesn’t budge once you have it on the eyes. It’s also not as pigmented as high end brows, which is a good thing if you already have bold brows that just need a bit of filling in- they look relaly nice. But if you have sparse brows this isn’t going to be for you, as it’s going to be too sheer of a formula for like, creating a brow where there is no brow. It’s just for filling in but, I really enjoy it, it’s super easy and it’s my fave go to, just to throw on. It’s nice and precise easy line, I just like, don’t have to put any effort into it just trace the outlines of my brow and they look done. It’s an easy everyday brow kind of pencil.

The Fenty brow is creamier and more pigmented so it glides on more easily, and is darker, so it’s better at filling in sparse areas. But for outlining the brow I feel like it’s a little harsh, and even if I go as lightly as possible, it kind of, is too much pigment almost... making my brows look too, thick and bold. For that reason it’s harder to work with, and requires mor work on general to get the look you’re going for. With this i recommend making hair like strokes few and far between, in the areas it’s needed and that is it. It’s good for penciling in. But I wouldn’t draw on and define the outlines of an entire brow with this because something about the shade just doesn’t have enough dimension to it. It can start looking kind of flat, color wise if you use too much of it. It’s like, extremely matte.

The ABH brow pomade is still a holy grail, but it’s just not the type of brow that is popular anymore. The new brow style is harder to achieve with a product like this, I tried to but, it just, doesn’t want to do it. Because it’s not what it was made for. So yeah it’s, great for filling in and defining, creating bold brows. But, it’s not going to be natural, and I find getting a precise line with the product is, difficult. Some lines come out thicker than others, some darker than others. It just makes everything harder.

The benefit brow pencil is my favorite pencil, as I feel their shade matching is the best, and its the best of both worlds when it comes to like, the creamyness and glidy-ness but then the waxy holding ness. And it’s pigmented but not too pigmented, it’s defining, without being too dark and bold, it’s dimensional not flat, but not shiny either. It’s buildable, yet precise. And I have no problems with the pencil tool itself, and the stick doesn’t snap off and things like that. It’s just an incredibly good formula. There’s a reason they have a huge line of brow products, and a “benefit brow bar” in Sephora’s all over the world. The powder is also good for getting a really nice fullness and filling in without it looking unnatural, overly bold, and without being imprecise to work with. It’s powdery-Er like the key brow, but pigmented like the ABH pomade, without being waxy like the ABH pomade is. Which is nice because it creates a total even-ness shading in effect. And the powder-unless gives you the ability to create a nice soft blend in the areas you need it to, like in areas where you don’t want harsh lines or your brow to be too thick and dark. And- on top of that, it’s by far, the easiest products I’ve ever worked with. You can be a complete imbecile when it comes to makeup, you could have the hardest time with it. And I think you would still have an extremely quick and easy time, and be very happy with the end result that you create on your own. I love benefits brow products. Lol

I also have yet to try Hourglass brow product which I’ve heard is really good. And I think there is one by Urban decay, and maybe one by Mac that I’ve seen people raving about I’m not sure but. Yeah there’s a few more on my list to try and compare.

I want to continue to give the Kosas liquid tint a go but I think I need to try different shades of it. I also need to wait until my skin is entirely clear to see the best possible results with it.

I’m also curious to see how it would be with various different primer combinations.

I think with a proper dark tan, it could be nice. It’s great for the beach especially because it seems to have an extreme mattifying and gripping hold to your face. Once it is dried down which is basically immediately, it literally will not budge, will not transfer.

I actually took a nap wearing it and woke up several hours later and it was still on and looking pretty flawless like, there was no residue or transfer to my pillows sheets or blankets which was surprising because they are white.

I thought for sure I’d ruin the pillows lol but I was so tired I just had to sleep. Lol

But yeah so if you’re ever going to like, sleep at someone’s house or do long hours like, on shift for like work, school, whatever. It’s a great, easy throw on and natural looking base, with a matte finish. That’s not over kill like, you can’t tell you’re wearing makeup. You seriously cannot tell.

It’s just evening out the skin tone and bringing up the dark shades in your face, bringing down the overly bright or oily areas, and then neutralizing any other undertones peeking through you natural skin.

But I have freckles and, interestingly enough it didn’t like, create that “makeup-y” look on me, like makeup normally looks when going over freckles. It looked completely natural like, you saw the freckles and it didn’t look like there was makeup on top of them. So it left them defined and bold which is good for au natural looks.

I hate when foundation dampens them down but like, they’re still peaking through it just makes my face look dirty I’ve talked about this before.

The only downside to this is, if you prefer a dewy look, that’s going to be more difficult to create with this because it’s even more matte that the first Fenty foundation is. It is matte matte. Like, it sucks the oil out of your face somehow like, no oils. Ever, anywhere. Even after hours and hours go by. So, I don’t really think this is going to work well with creating a dew-y look. But you can just put highlighter on top of it and an illuminating primer underneath.

It doesn’t settle into pores or fine lines, or make them more apparent.

The only issue, is that if you have skin texture like, bumps. It will emphasize that. Like sometimes i get that on my forehead a little bit, if I don’t do my skin care regiment they might show up sometimes. And the day I tried this I guess I had some and yeah, it like kind of made them apparent where as before it wasn’t noticable.

But since I’ve been using my Curology regiment those have gone away.

The other thing is it’s not going to cover any sort of acne, or acne scarring. My Curology regiment takes care of that for me, but yeah. If you have that this literally will not cover it. L

I highly recommend putting this on after you have a cleanly derma-planned face.

I don’t have hyperpigmentation or Rosascia, so I can’t review it from that respect. But I do have darker under eyes and lids, and this went on really nicely over those areas to sort of neutralizing any darkness or blue tones that were in my face there or on the upper eye lid to create even-ness. Which I was surprised at what a difference it made for my under eyes, it just goes to show it’s not about “coverage” for your dark circles as much as it is about neutralizing with color correcting.

Over all I think this is a great, beach day, or work/school wear, or “over night bag” foundation. And I haven’t seen any skin tints like this that hold so incredibly well. I’ve seen nothing grip like this.

The trade off is that, you need to be really on top of your skin, to, enjoy this.

The only other complaint I have is, that the way it comes out of the tube because it is so liquid it can be a little messy. It’s like tiny little drops, and it’s hard to control how much or how little comes out.... and once it gets on your hands, it’s very difficult to get off. But if you apply with a brush or sponge I was afraid it would take away coverage or product... but yeah I recommend using an applicator of some sort because it just got all under my finger nails and like it was so fucking hard to get oUT because is has such GRIPPING HOLD once its dry... and, the other thing, is that when I got it on my lips, for some reason it sort of balled up on my lips and created like this tiny bit of residue on there. Which I had a hard time getting off, no matter what I used. I literally had to scrape off the residue that it left on my lips with muy finger nail which was extremely painful. LMFAO but yeah. So, when you do apply it, be precise and don’t just run it over your lips. Because for whatever reason it does weird things on your lips. But yeah that was annoying so.. not sure how they could fix that issue but. Yeah just... try not to. Get it on your mouth. Lol

I didn’t get it in my eyebrows but I can imagine if you did get it on them it would be once again difficult to remove from there, so also avoid getting it over the eyebrow hairs.

But yeah I did like what it did to my forehead and my under eyes, etc. it just gave me like, a sun-kissed look like I’d been out on a boat all day in the sun or something. I looked, sunny. In a good bronzed way.

And I can imagine in combination with other sort of “bronze- sunny” products, like, drunk elephant has a liquid bronzing tanner thing, or the hula, bronzer stuff from benefit- there is a liquid one and a powder one. And maybe a little touch of like a cream to powder finish blush. It could be a beautiful look.

If youre into looking sunny and bronzed, and tan. This, is, a great thing. Very much so a “summer beach bag” product to me.

At first i was like wtf is this? But I think I am slowly like, understanding it and starting to like it. It just has its time and place. Because of not being full coverage, it won’t replace your foundation. It’s just for natural days where you don’t want to look like ur wearing makeup but you also don’t want to wear no makeup because you don’t look presentable and you also need it to stay ON for long periods of time, transfer proof, humidity proof, I’m pretty amazed at those last two qualities. And oil proof. So.... over all. I rate it a 10/10.

The packaging is also done nicely so that, yes even though it’s difficult to control product that comes out, a very very very very very small amount comes out each time you do try to get product out. So if you just tip it it’s not going to start falling out like liquid drops everywhere. And with the cap on, it feels very sturdy and solid like it will stay on and everything so, i can trust it’s not going to make a mess in my bag. And the packaging is designed to resist the transfer of makeup so, when i was using the actual product, i didn’t get the white packaging or the black cap dirty even though my hands had foundation on it. Oddly enough. Whatever material it’s made out of, the packaging resists, any sort of dirty-ing. No finger prints or smudging or nothing which is nice so.

If you are at the beach, you can just swipe it on with your hands, and then close the package without worrying about dirtying it or making a mess, its easy and effortless, and i can just toss it in my bag, its light weight, its small and travel friendly. The top stays on its sturdy.

It’s a good product. I highly recommend, but just make sure you really like the shade you pick, and, it looks best if uyou already or A tan, and I can imagine on Medium to deep complexions this is great because this product really shines in the pigment department, as far as evening out skin complexion and bringing to life or bronzing up, the tones in your skin.

I still haven’t played with the Isabelle Bedoya Palette yet but I watched her create a look on her instagram with it because I wasn’t sure what kind of look to do. Seeing her work with it helped me understand the shades a bit more and what purpose she had in mind for them.

I also looked it up on youtube to see what was out there about it, and the reviews seem generally negative. And the looks I’m seeing look like a hot mess.

But, we will see how it goes when I do create a look with it. I will probably recreate Isabelle’s look she did on her instagram with it, and then maybe try to do a look of my own after I get an idea of how the shadows work and then I can sort of comment on the formula and what this palette is like.

So yeah, keep posted...

Products I AM FEELING but I am not gonna buy bc I'm on a replenish only No Buy.

So first of all after 2+ years of warm neutrals being it, cool neutrals (which I prefer) are really trending and Colourpop is here for it and is fucking coming for my no-buy 😫

As mentioned above I waaaant It's Taupe. I have Blush Crush and Making Mauves and I feel this really completes the neutral 9 pan set (I have no interest in Nude Mood, too warm for my taste)

What I really love in this palette are the mattes, as I mentioned in my Venice Fling anti-haul my collection lacks medium tone neutral mattes and this limits my noncolorful crease options. The shimmers are cute but I feel I could live without them, especially since I have all the cool toned shimmers in my Naked 3 palette which swatch vary similar. (No dupes imo but a cohesive colorstory)

This is going on my list of considerations after I finish one of the palettes I already have, or I might consider buying the matte shades depotted if I can find them rather than buying the wholepalette.

Next is the newest Colourpop release, Stone Cold Fox. It's basically a cool toned version of the Bare Necessities. I like this palette but even I know I just don't need it. This is the cool toned palette to replace all cool toned neutral palettes. It's huge! Also there just are not enough mattes. I only use shimmers on the lid and use mattes/ satin finishes in my crease. Since I usually use 3ish crease shades and only 1-2 on the lid the shimmers here would vastly outlive the mattes.

Last in my list of cool toned Colourpop products, the blushes from the Making Mauves collection. I think they are both so cute! TBH the one I want the most is the more mauve shade called Coast to Coast although I'm not sure how that would look on my skin tone and it is sold out anyway. The super pink one called Catch My Vibe is still in stock and it is beautiful but I already have a super pink blush andI'm only letting myself have one at a time.

 I'm gonna cave.

No... no I'm not. I'm gonna wait for someone to eventually sell one on makeup exchange...

Trying out the Dr. Jart masks I got from TJ Max. I got the 7 pack one of all different masks. So far so good, I’m tempted to do all of them in one night just because I’m curious what effect it would have on my skin

Last time I did something like this and really went all out, and did like, way too many masks and applied so many different skin care things in one day. (I was having a “self care” day, but I also got excited because it was all given to me for free because of my dad’s work)

And it had an amazing effect on my skin, the very next day like, it was a dramatic difference.

I can only imagine what a professional esthetician and a FASCIALIST would do. I watched this girls videos named Krys V on youtube and sort of marked her progress in her skin, she was regularly getting professional work done and filming the entire process. And I have to say after yeah- regularly going, the difference it made in her skin was absolutely amazing. Absolutely amazing.

So yeah, the truth is, *most* people can have perfect skin, it just takes cost, time, effort and consistency.

Anyway.

So far, the first mask I’m using is the Hydra one, because my skin felt just, dry. I was worried it wasn’t really “absorbing” the after shower products I put on it. It just wasn’t feeling supple and hydrated, it felt pretty dry.

So, this is the perfect mask for when you’re feeling like you just need a huge burst of thick juicy hydration... I’ve tried a lot of masks (thanks to my dads job lol) and I have to say this is by far the juiciest mask I’ve tried, and the formula feels thick but, without being goopy. There is just, actual serum here, and lots and lots of it. In the package and on the mask. But somehow, it doesn’t drip down, as it’s not watery enough to move. And yet, feels so good like, a thick jelly, that is thin like water. Hard to explain but, it’s just so so nice.

I know it’s nice because the way it feels is similar to the laniege night moisturizer that is very expensive and high end. It’s also an amazing “water like- jelly serum” that feels so fucking good and hydrating, but the amount I like to use, the jar will run out in about a month.

This face mask provides more than enough of the jelly serum, which is nice to me as I hate when I feel like there wasn’t enough. I’d rather see excess serum than have a non-gloopy mask. I like my masks to be fucking GLOOPY as fuck.

It’s just so satisfying how juicy and rich this formula feels, it’s like a gel but it’s water based so, lighter than a gel. It’s just really nice I keep saying that but yeah I’m, in love with this mask.

As a dry skin person, this is like, *angel heaven music plays* you know what I mean? So so, relieving and relaxing. Love it.

It says, “hydrating” and it definitely is the epitome, of hydration for your skin. I seriously love this lol

also it smells faintly like, vitamins, in a good way- like water and lightly faintly, vitamins. Which I like because I know there is actual skin care ingredients in this serum. Which is a nice bonus.

For like skin care skin care, I would say get esthetician’s advice on products you need or buy from the ordinary. But yeah this, is more of like, a way to treat your skin between seeing your fascialist and things like that and just keep your skin feeling fresh.

I was feeling like the Saharan desert for a minute there so this is, A1, now I feel like, a porcelain doll / princess which is always a vibe. Something about having like really good skin that is even and, not oily, not, dull, but supple and plump without being dewy. Not like dry and fine lines and crusty ness. It makes me feel, pure. Renewed, fresh, pretty. like an angel. Also wealthier.

That’s just the psychology behind the consumerism, which, sounds silly to mention but, it’s a huge part of why people, buy things. Yes, this does hydrate but, how does it make you feel? If it makes people feel like a million bucks, guess what, it’ll excel in todays market.

People wanna feel good. And this, def feels good. Also, self care in general is, like a really nice part of your day, your routine whatever that you can just do for yourself and something about it is like, stress relieving, relaxing, etc.

It’s just a whole mood. Like, doing your nails is annoying but, if you’re masking while you’re doing it- now it’s a mood. Now it’s luxury. It’s less of a chore. I dunno.

Anyway, I’m so happy with these masks I literally can’t wait to try all of them and I think I will def being buying from Dr. Jart again in the future.

Out of all the skin care brands, Dr. Jart is def getting awarded the high end seal of approval. She’s def in the high end market. And the appeal is just, so lovely.

Like I love that there is Korean all over the packages and stuff. Just because they sell in the US they didn’t change their marketing, which is novel to us Americans. I like experiencing something different, something ‘cool’. It’s the same way like, over in japan for example western culture stuff if ‘cooler’ there than it is here. Like coca-cola t-shirts and, Disney World merchandise. It goes both ways.

I always enjoy incorporating new stuff from around the globe into my fashion and my makeup (respectfully), And it really keeps things fun and interesting.

Even the feel of their packaging is different, it’s like that soft-touch matte feeling, which is really nice. And the package that contains the 7 masks is like, travel friendly and feels like, a notebook. Which is really cool. Like, you can use the box to continue to store masks in it if you want it’s such a nice box.

Literally 10/10. We love her. I say it all the time but, don’t sleep on TJ Max fam, she has the deals, she has the steals. And you can buy from them online as well so, the steals are on wheels.

Ok I’ll stop lol. But yeah, make sure to check in store locally as there is more in store than is featured online.

Other brands I’ve seen are like, SK II, YSL, Dior, Guerlain, ABH, etc... stuff like that. And also a leave in conditioner and hair masks I love are also there for literally half the price.

So yeah there is my list. I am added these items to my list of considerations for when I eventually pan a product and it comes time to replace it.

  Those blush shades are beautifulllll

Reminds me of Patrick Ta or Mac, like, definitely Mimicks the high end trends right now. Very nice shades.

Also the That’s Taupe and Naked 3 look so beautiful together, the swatches just made me want both. Also reminds me of ABH Sultry palette a bit, and a bit of something KKW would do. Gorgeous. Scumpdidliumptious. Magnifico.

The Stone Cold palette reminds me of a lot of ABH palettes put together, which makes it a fucking steal if you haven’t bought all ABH palettes. This is a great cool tone fall palette. Reminds me of Charlotte Tilbury and Natasha denona, as well.

It also reminds me of this palette:

Which i love but couldn’t justify buying because so few shades, but i really love the colors. I don’t like that the pants aren’t all the same size but, from a makeup artist perspective it makes sense and there is a functional reason for it, it’s not just random. So I’m ok with it, it just bothers me they’re not and I think it would of looked nicer without those three rectangular bars. Anyway- I think I could justify buying this palette for those shades as the purple the brown and the tan transition shades are all unique but really nice shades I love, and the looks she creates with it are the type of look I would wear a lot. Plus travel friendly, just to... places. And um... *trying to think of more ways to justify it* it’s really pretty lol idk, it’s a little simple but.

Also curious to see, I think these shades *may* be Durable across some huda beauty and abh palettes but I would really have to dig through multiple palettes to find the specific shades.

This sort of creamy yummy vibes and these rich tones reminds me of something Melt cosmetics would do, it’s like, if Kylie cosmetics square palettes and melt cosmetics aesthetic had a baby. Right?

But I’m a fan of both of these brands so. Of course I like it. But, the last thing to see is, how is the formula, is it comparable to these brands I love, etc.

I love what sigma has been coming out with lately and this was just a little fun bonus on top of their other beautiful latest palette releases. Seriously bangers. They’re just so on the mark, such delicious quality, and yet, unique enough to fee like you’re not buying something you already have. And their aesthetic draws you in because of how well designed it is and everything, making them very lovable and enchanting. (Pun on one of their palettes, the enchanted palette hehe)
