Awww! So happy for you both!
She is more awake now, and is still moving her head to respond to yes or no questions. The nurses told her that she is in the hospital and that she had surgery, but we don't really know how coherent she is to process that. They still plan to remove the ventilator tomorrow and once she can speak we will know mkre about how coherent she is and how much she understands what is happening as she's waking up. Her blood work looks better and better every time they check. I can't wait to talk to her. As soon as they say she is fully awake and alert I am going to take her phone down for them to give to her. Idk if that will be tomorrow or the next day

Alice is fully awake, they took out the breathing tube and got her out of bed and into a chair for awhile. She was able to faectime her parents with a nurse's phone. They said she was still loopy from the meds but she is acting like herself. They told her she had a transplant and she is taking the news okay so far.

Whats going to stop her body from attacking the new liver like it did the old liver?
Medication, and rigorous monitoring of her blood work

I just talked to Alice again and the difference between yesterday and today is night and day. She is completely coherent how, and can tell the difference between what is real and what was dreams while she was sedated.
She ate a cheeseburger and it was really good, and she's been up walking a lot today...
