Because that would require some level of self awareness. 

I don't think it's always the parents fault you know? like sometimes people are just born fucked up

She went real wacko-nutjob around the time he died, and Chapo timing-wise was what let her not have to fixate on it.

Don't sugarcoat it, she's crazy and needs help, but in order to get that help she has to actually think she needs it. Minimizing her displays into how sensible people could find themselves trapped there isn't good for her already wilfully ignorant state of mind when it comes to ignoring the glaring problems in situations.

It's not laziness, it's obsession. 

At first it was amusing even to those of us who are his friend but now it's just disturbing and she should move on to someone else if she absolutely has to keep continuing this behavior

She is a blatant expression of how choice does not exist.

From Med's perspective, I suspect it's like when Blanc goes on about that sort of thing: It means they aren't getting what they want out of them. 

It's not too different from an infant crying for their mother's tits beyond the blatant age difference. 

Her parents threw money at the problems she had such as failing her medical school courses and gave her whatever she wanted. She's justified orderlies being sexually inappropriate with her and likely other women as okay because they were hot and giving her attention. 

It's not like she holds onto what's going on around her beyond her own inner narratives anyway. 

In this case I do think it's the parents fault

While I do agree that they didn't really provide her with a life that challenged her enough socially, I think she'd still be a bad person even in ideal conditions. 

She doesn't empathize, like, at all with other people.
