Reading through this, I get some sense of what you think of the absurd, but not what you think the absurd is.

The freedom of mindless self-expression, to do something without fully thinking about it, just for the sake of doing it. It's not just spontaneity or instinct, it has to be blind to itself, to accepted conventions, in a way that pushes it further forward. It's the artistic purity and bliss of unabashed, zealous blindness, whether because they let go of something or never really had a grip on it in the first place.

A lot can be construed as "ultimately absurd" through Nihilist rhetoric alone, but there's a point where the simply absurd shows itself to be a different creature entirely. After observing them for a while, it can become easy to assume that some aspects of what they're doing seems to work for them

In more tropish cartoony terms:

Is it absurd when I spam "Nigger" in chat? Is that the sort of freedom you desire?

A shadow not so dark.

Nah, that's just common sense.

Such a dumb 'scholar'. Not only does she get a lot of things wrong, she's just using the word "Absurd" to justify her own sense of misunderstanding and giving up.

Part way in she just brags about her achievements, followed by exclaiming the absurdity of how people don't recognize her for it. If it can be explained, or if it's copycating another's prior expression, it's not truly "absurd" anymore.

Is absurd just another word like "Magic" or "Chaos"?

What would you say the difference between the spontaneous and the absurd is? You mentioned that the absurd is blind to itself. Does this mean the absurd is something done without forethought or awareness of what one is doing?

Spontaneous is a type of behavior, while The Absurd is a concept. Someone can be spontaneous for reasons within The Absurd as well as outside of it, but to express The Absurd without spontaneity tends to only span out for big picture points (like those who claim that the universe is absurd as opposed to contingent). Someone can be spontaneous without it being absurd, such as Improv actors.

Much like "Magic", or "Chaos", or even "Perfection", Absurdity ceases being absurd if you can define the causal links in the behaviors as following a set predictable path. I'm starting to see it like a Zero/Infinite value in it's defining line being of it's most extreme points.

Essentially, when confronted by the absurd, by Camus terms we can respond to it either with Physical Suicide, Philisophical Suicide, or Continuing On. If something's too much to bear, either people kill themselves, kill their journey for answers ("God Works In Mysterious Ways" style unfalsifiability, Agnostic brands of thinking, or "I prefer to not think about it" rhetoric), or keep pushing further into it despite the appearance of there being no real reason to.

I'm becoming frustrated with how people can't seem to directly convey The Absurd, but rather spend tons of time conveying their experiences with what they see as Absurd. Much like we see out of Rebekka, it strikes me as using it as a justification instead of really seeing it for itself alone. She didn't understand something as basic as Kafka and decided to blame it instead of herself.

Then every so often we see what appear to be purer expressions of Absurdity, such as Ed from Ed Edd & Eddy. To contrast this, we can find simple characters in other shows who are not absurd, such as Homer Simpson, where everything he does and gets away with (pre-Zombie Simpsons anyway, when Conan was still a writer) has very clear causal links demonstrating his pathology and habits.

Any tips?

I enjoy in seeing you suffer.

That makes two of us.

About once a week you create one of these threads and cry your eyes out.

/lampshade hangs the urge to correct this figure

I'll continue this time but just because I'm bored and I can't bone anything right now. Don't resist your urges, embrace them. Embrace absurdity, nihilism and fantasy. You're batshit insane TC, you know that? It's also why you're not boring.

I have no idea what you're always crying about because you're so painfully vague. But I know that there's a screw loose somewhere in your head because you interpret every little detail as if it's a grand plan. You're hoping that life is more interesting than it actually is. It's like when you hope you're of a different sex than you really are.

I'd really love to see you break. It would be so enjoyable just to see all of that come crumbling down, you whining alone and empty. Weird that I can't really tell what would make you break... You know, I could tell you to accept reality and move on. That's the sane part of me that's telling me to actually give you good advice. But you know what? You probably wouldn't listen anyway.

So instead I'll say this: The world is a fascinating place. Every passerby, every homeless person has a story to tell. They're all hiding behind those rags.... Once you tear off the rags... a prince, a diamond in the rough will be born... LOL. Welcome to la la land, where every detail points to a conspiracy and every word is a complicated roleplay. The best part? The whole world is in on it.

That's right, forget those inane games that we adult men play, like who gets to bone the most chicks, who makes the most $$$ or what makes the society better. None of those games are for you.

You know what would be absurd? If you dressed up in an unbuttoned satin blouse, lime-colored panties and high heels and went to a Hell's angels club to tell them you're a wartime nurse looking for your husband Doctor Daneeka, whom you of course find there. Then start crying and call the police. How about you live it up a little? You're not really finding all of this absurd. You just say you do.

If you did, you wouldn't act so goddamn normal. Your actions betray your words.
