I'm not one to pretend I know what's going on just for the sake of my own personal comforts, it's weak. This know-it-all attitude as a novice isn't really you keeping an open mind... but rather a closed off one. "How can you fill your cup if it's already full?". 

Anyone of any walk of life ought to practice some level of self doubt, otherwise you can find yourself no different than an asylum babbler going on about their reality.

Apparently a retired member of a Wiccan church who had a teacher and devoted years to studying, reading around 30 books on the subject, who's study of the craft/religion shaped her program choices in post-secondary education, would beg to differ.

Sometimes fulfilling our karma means getting out of the way so somebody else can fulfill their karma, as well  :)

The spirits you'll be working with have their own ways of dealing with disrespectful people, so if your intentions are good, things will work out for you.

If not, then you'll suffer for your misdeeds.

 that's my biggest problem actually! youre right I am scattered, so rituals take me longer than most probably because I really have to meditate and focus

 It's my biggest problem in life actually, not just with Wicca or rituals. its with everything involving using my brain to complete any sort of task lol

You refuse to hear anyone but yourself in these cases, as a matter of habit. That's the definition of closed minded, assuming everyone just "doesn't understand" so that you can hold onto your own stubborn-yet-fragile views untouched. 

If you were more open minded, you'd be able to actually contend with this sort of thing.
