Agree about Mystique. Idc about classy. I just love the way she fights <3

So... now even her power set then?

Totally disagree about Xavier. I suspect you only say that bc of your emotional dysfunction.

Are you kidding? Xavier's power is amazing, and anyone else with powers could be made to use them for him if they aren't wearing special helmets or wielding raw insanity or emotion to it's fullest extent.

How am I emotionally dysfunctional? I can think of plenty of ways myself, but your version's likely to be more interesting without my input.

No. Fucking. Way would I EVER want to be able to hear and feel so many people's minds and emotions all at once. Most people would turn out more like Jean than Charles after living through that.

They expressed that very well in Justice League with Martian Manhunter, where he has to actively focus to keep others thoughts out of his head. Xavier meanwhile has to focus to hear them, which makes it a safer alternative.

I think I could handle it.

Your personality with Rogue's power?

lol you'd get yourself shot.

Rogue's power works if you play it safe. She's shown that she can absorb small amounts of a person's power without making them pass out or die. It's also another way to gain memories of the subject depending on the source material. Even in a world with no other mutants she could still absorb another's natural talents and skills, making her a pretty cool blue mage alternative.

If you were rogue you could never have sex with anyone who is not a healer like wolverine...  I mean she does tend to accidentally murder people she likes. So I guess you're going gay?

Yeah. I was talking about her shape shifting abilities as they become  her fighting abilities. It's all part of the same package.

And no, I don't feel like discussing your dysfunction again.

You've written fucking tomes about it.

There's female self-healers too.

I saw the fighting as secondary personally. The shapeshifting's more of a mindfuck or espionage angle, while pugilism is closer to where she'd need to go if her primary talents fail.

In one of the cartoons she could take on animal forms. That version wouldn't even really need basic combat to succeed unless dealing with some sort of power draining type.

Emotional dysfunction though?

I have devoured a lot of Barker.  I could re-read him and Lovecraft ad infinitum.

I've always had a thing for Rogue.  She was the first "power absorber" and the dearest, setting the template.  Aside the broad application and sheer magnitude of her power potential, it was also wonderfully amenable to generating its own story arcs from it.

I love Rogue as the mutants go... but would not want that power.  You and I share more and more...

I can only speak of the era's and storylines i know, Turncoat.

I always found Mystique had more to her in the material i read than just pure villain, more of a purpose.

My favourite Marvel characters were ones with more ambiguous capabilities, like when Bobby Drake began to show more capabilities than he had before.

Charles Xavier in a mirror universe as a villain would be a great angle. His compulsion abilities in a ruthless man of his intellect could make for a seductive antagonist.
