Actually... no.  There are fundamentalist who try to take every word from an ancient text and make it literal.  There are intelligent Christians who study word usage, text, context, culture, and all aspects of what was going down at the time of the writing  Intelligent design infers something intelligent created this... G-d.  Not just a "bang" from nothing.

why cant our universe just be an oddity instead of it having to have intelligent design,its pure speculation no?
