When people start talking about how unlikely evolution is, they're usually failing to consider just how long 6 billion years is.

This planet did what uninhabited planets do for 5/6 of that time.

It took 5 billion years for the first rna strands to come together as the first building blocks of life.

The rest happened after the accidental(?) blueprint was in place.

*Edit: ofc this is all extrapolated from what we've unearthed in the fossil record so far.

and this still doesn't prove its impossible, even if everything was correct, when it was not. it only says 'its crazy! look at the chances!', but it can still happen.
The original calculation was incorrect, because its made up. Thats not how evolution works, there are many many factors that change it as well. Some factors speed it up, others slow it down.

God... for or against... always becomes a circular argument... can't prove there is... can't prove there is not... have to start at a premise...

it is 6,000,000,000 years... care to start writing out 1 billion... TRILLIONS... got any clue how big that is?  Well, that is the chance of life not just occurring in an evolutionary view but also flourishing... 6 billion... not even ONE trillion yet...

There universe is supposedly expanding and young... there is hope... mathematically highly doubtful... but... I am saying there is a chance...

and how many animals fuck and mutate all over the world every second + all the rest of the evolutionary mechanism that can't even be calculated right now by humans?

every fuck is a mutation, sometimes even without a fuck there is a mutation and each of these mutations alone can trigger the beneficial one. and it can happen from the first time, or from the trillionth one, is chance.

what is the average chance? by stupid math, you could say its half of the number they gave. but its stupid math, because it doesn't involve the other factors i mentioned. and you should calculate this by the average, not the worst possible scenario.

Whoa... TFI... are you aware that there is not one piece of evidence of evolution outside of a species?... like primates mutate to other primates... insects to other insects... but you can not find where a gator became a dog...  or jellyfish growing legs... animals can fuck all day long and mutate the way you say... but evolution as a theory for ALL life is about as believable as a Supreme Creator breathing life into the nostrils of a dust boy... choose your myth...

And how about you calculate what you are trying to say and give us some numbers?

just the most cool example is how dinosaurs are related to birds. you can see it in the fossils.

and there is also the DNA evidence.
