LOL... and I the sinner:

  1. You shall have no other gods before Me. I have played with every religion and worshiped money for sure... FAIL

Hmmm...it's #1...so maybe it's a biggie? Maybe not?

2.You shall not make idols.I had a laughing Buddha and a Satanic looking mask... not to mention my SELF... FAIL

You made yourself your own idol? ....Serious? Doubt the others are all that relevant...lol...

3. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain. I was in the USMC Infantry for 20 years... FAIL

Well.....God is losing a lot of souls for little reason....doubt the Lord is that strict...lol..

4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. I have worked on Saturday and Sunday... USMC 20 years... FAIL

Minor....silly commandment anyways..

5. Honor your father and your mother. HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!  FAIL!

Hmmm.....this could be interesting...flesh this out?

6.You shall not murder. I have killed with malice in my heart and enjoyed it... FAIL

Thought police is the Lord soooo pickie? I doubt it....lose too many souls that way...actions, not thoughts...

7. You shall not commit adultery. Oh Lord... FAIL

HMmmmmm....well...that's more your wife/ gfs problem anyways....so....if you didn't murder but in your mind, and you lusted others ( who hasn't?..lol )then the lord loses more loses more Souls...I think that would be silly and God is not frivolous...lol....or your God is really stupid.

8. You shall not steal. More than I can count... and I SHOULD be ashamed of from who... FAIL

Who? ...what kind of theft? Theft is 'naughty' ...depending....and sometime even legal...so it's a gray zone...

9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Key point in some manipulations... FAIL

Can't imagine.... but...if something were a problem....never say never...lol..

10 You shall not covet. Well... I might be OK on this one... verdict still out as I search my soul (or lack there of)... fuck it... I wish Iwas Tom Brady... LOL... FAIL!

Hmmm...

As you said Prime, we have come full circle... so... I will conclude with this...

Total Depravity says All men are wicked,  Limited Atonement says only His Elect will be saved,  Sociopathy might hold a key as to the totally depraved who don't get to be elected...  Damn my lack of shame... lol...

Ah...lol...that could mean several things...sociopathy and depraved....where is the depravement? For some there is....others not....

Religion is a funny thing....but what it does well...is unite people...so....for those that are without family, or lost....it can help or harm....but for those who see through it....there is no comfort to be found...there are choices to be made...and the Will to drive it. ( there is even a religion about that...lol...but I am freestyle...so...make of it what you want, it's pretty simple.)

Religions are constructs to explain the Unknown...and ..Life is a journey, destination.....dirt....lol

So....Between Point A and Point B....it's up to you.

However:

Jesus only gave two commandments..

Luke 10:27 "He answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

And this I have done as well...

Love...hmmm...wonder what Jesus meant by love? It has different meanings to each person...doesn't it?

What do you think Jesus meant?

Very hard to put in words really... I know it is more than just a feeling... here are something it definitely is not...

"1 Corinthians 13:4-8New King James Version (NKJV)

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. "

Hmmm...perspective....

...when the source of animation/ life/ awareness/consciousness... is no longer present...meat...

Temple of Awareness resides in the Meat Wagon...so....lol....

..too many close calls with my own mortality to see it any other way...

I've had my share of brushes with death, and the weird thing is they're in big part the reason why I'm not an atheist. In those moments, in my most difficult moments, I felt something giving me strength or protecting me. My intuition makes it impossible for me to be an atheist. It can't be understood unless you've had personal experience with it, so I don't talk about it or try to impose my views on people. I hate it when Christians or other religions do that. If God exists and is among us and within us, why do we need preachers? Why do we need external teachings?

There are many religions in the world. Ever wondered why, though? People all over the world, oceans away, reached on their own the conclusion that there was something more, above them. God, gods, energies. That there is the concept of "soul". Why is that? It makes no sense from an evolution point of view, for humans to have this ingrained into us. Why would believing in and reaching for supernatural forces help us survive better? And yet there it is, in our DNA. It makes you think why. If it is into our DNA to believe in these higher powers, there has to be some truth to it.

There is a point when faith/belief becomes religion/ritual. It takes a lot of the spirituality away imo. It is noise pollution that overrides the music underneath.

Are you saying you're committed to people in your life? The way you are committed to yourself? In Christianity the biggest battle is with the ego. Pride and selfishness are the source of most evil and it's not by chance they are considered the worst sins, the sins of the devil himself.

Mmhmmm...the constructs...it is all constructs....look around...its so funny sometimes. ..some have an  advantage...so...it's a different understanding...I think so...

Maybe that's the core when it screams? Maybe that is the inner God? Maybe...some people are fortunate enough to experience their own existence only when they are about to lose it....who knows?

Logic and Reason dictate that the music within, is an unknown...lol....maybe? Or making peace with your dragons?

Morals and Ethics are more interesting...but get muddy with a religious backdrop...so....another time...that would be interesting...

Even when I declared myself an Atheist I always had this feeling you are describing... at the worst times... I was never afraid or worried... weird.

My intuition makes it impossible for me to be an atheist. It can't be understood unless you've had personal experience with it, so I don't talk about it or try to impose my views on people.

I get this...

I hate it when Christians or other religions do that. If God exists and is among us and within us, why do we need preachers? Why do we need external teachings?

well... most people, like myself, don't have a clue what that feeling really is... finding a good Teacher is difficult... Religion makes it too is to be a charlatan

Evolution is just part of the picture...

Why would believing in and reaching for supernatural forces help us survive better? And yet there it is, in our DNA. It makes you think why. If it is into our DNA to believe in these higher powers, there has to be some truth to it.

By supernatural I assume you mean forces we can not see and do not yet understand... do you not think there is a being greater than humans?  What would be greater than those?  What created everything in the very beginning?  The fact man has a brain to think these things is a gift... or curse... and something Super Natural did all this...

There is a point when faith/belief becomes religion/ritual. It takes a lot of the spirituality away imo. It is noise pollution that overrides the music underneath.

Establishing a relationship with God or your conception of what God is will eventually lead to a religious way of doing things.  Even living with another human and establishing a working relationship will bring habits that will get executed religiously... a personal religion so to speak... when establishing this relationship with God how the Spirit directs you will cause you to change how you think, feel, and conduct life... You will do this through spirituality... but the result will be activities conducted religiously...

No religion should impose on any other...

Throughout my daily endeavors I am actively looking where I can help people, Ed... even if it is just holding the door open for someone or assisting a person with their hands full from shopping get their wares to their vehicle.  Or maybe a ride for an old fella walking down the rode... it could be buying someone food or helping them with a heavy project... and just about everyone I have mentioned have been and will be a complete stranger... I work with underprivileged kids (I get to know them) whose homes are fucked... I check in on some elders around the community ( I know them)... all this brings me joy...

In my past I have been a really bad dude... don't feel like being a really bad dude no more...
