True, babe.
lolwut? That's what I mean. We're a stupid, arrogant, violent self serving species.
We should do the universe a favour and stay away from other planets till we finish outgrowing our chimpishness, even if we suddenly do figure out the technology for space travel.
"Why shouldn't we consume everything before us if we can figure out how? King of the mountain, Baby!"
I disagree. I have no problem with anybody and everybody taking what we need and a little more for a rainy day.
But wanton greed usually comes back to bite us on the ass, whether that's in the form of crop failures and dustbowls, environmental contamination, nuclear meltdowns or riots led by pissed off underclasses.
That's a hard question to answer because I don't like to fully believe in anything honestly. There's only one exception to this and im at a loss of words from trying to describe it. I suppose to very generally explain it, balance. There's just an undeniable relation to it when you look at every piece of matter we've known and their relationships to eachother. Everything in this cycle will compensate or diminish to get back to it's original state. Everything from the life time of stars to the prerequisites of human happiness all follow the same order. It's the reason I hail Newton's Third law one of my favorite philosophic and scientific quotes.
"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."
