I'm definitely not surprised you're getting into this argument right now lol
The cynic is more likely to not end up disappointed as their negative approach to situations usually expects failure and is not surprised when failure does come. However, if they succeed, they are pleasantly welcomed by the feat accomplished. The optimist, on the other hand, expects success. When they succeed, they are just the same (as they expected it), but when they fail, they are let down into a fiery pit of disappointment. I don't think that this necessarily makes the cynic tougher, but it does set the cynic up well.
"The cynic is more likely to not end up disappointed as their negative approach to situations usually expects failure and is not surprised when failure does come. "
wrong it just takes the element of surprise away from it not that the cynic doesnt feel shitty after failing
Hmmm....wrong terminology. I think, to know yourself, may perhaps allow one to see the best and the worst in others. Maybe?
And that, can be beautiful or hideous, depends the person, context and situation. Brutal conundrum, if I do say so myself, and I just did..lol..
A cynic tends to have a guarded exterior with a vulnerable interior. The worse it becomes, the more of a social bubble boy that the person risks turning into.
Met someone like that, sort of but not really. Brilliant young man. He dropped the vulnerability bomb, and the brutal did not pick it up. It was merely noted and respected. Equilibrium is a state of balanced chaos.
Wolves are not random wasteful killers, only man really is.
